This historical home is spectacular and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully presented, as was our view over the gardens outside our windows..Matt, our host was friendly and made sure all his guests were happy. Could it get any better? Yes, it did. Homemade breads and jams, cereals, fresh fruit juice and fruit, plus a selection of coffees and teas were on offer for breakfast. Our only regret is that we should have stayed longer. I highly recommend this accommodation.A hot tub and sauna are also available to use.

The suite is situated in a new residential area, 5 min drive from the city centre. The flat is quite big for two person stay and the bed is extremely comfy. The host has also provided breakfast and basic utilities for our stay. I would definitely come again.

Rosebank lodge is a great spot. Rooms well appointed and fresh and clean. Staff friendly and helpful Restaurant had a good range of meals for most, just didn't cater for dairy free group member. Would highly recommend

Balclutha is hardly a much sought destination but it is in a prime location to base yourself as you visit the Catlins and the ample attractions on its door step. The river in particular is underrated and provides great fishing and kayaking. The town itself sports most of the shops you expect as well as a supermarket and some great eateries. The hi-light of my trip was definitely staying at the historic Fern & Thistle which is just out of town and is definitely the hidden gem of Clutha.JohnnyNew Zealand - 10Scored 10

Gorgeous vistas in the rural area, reminiscent of Lord of the Rings scenes. The locals are friendly and this is a nice place to stop when travelling. Highlights are the Bridge, walks along the Clutha River, and the rural views. The Raj Indian restaurant was really delicious, and the best coffee and cheese rolls are at Rosebank Cafe, south end of town.AAnonymous

Very welcoming hosts, only continental breakfast, but plenty of it and all very tasty. We used the hot tub in the evening, it was lovely sitting out under the stars. Just a short drive to Balclutha where we had a great Indian meal at the Raj. It was fascinating to read the history of the property and Benhar. Would love to go back and stay again sometime.

It was the perfect location for us to explore the area and to visit Dunedin (approx 1 hr drive) on a rainy day. The garden and house are large and beautiful, the house itself, the room and bathroom are in sync with the character of the house. Bed was super comfortable and breakfast had enough choices to get us going in the morning.
