For meg er Kathmandu kjent og kjært, har bodd her i mange år. Byen er trygg, men ha et lite øye med verdisaker allikevel. Byen og landet er trygt også hvis du reiser alene som kvinne. Viktig å vise respekt for hvordan det er forventet at du oppfører deg og hvordan du kler deg. Nepaleserne er varme og imøtekommende. Kathmandu er dessverre svært forurenset og mange bruker munnbind. Å komme seg rundt i byen er ofte preget av trafikk korker i den innerste bykjerne. Ikke ta lokalbuss, med mindre du er kjent og vet hvor du skal. Ta taxi, det koster mer, men langt fra norske priser!
