As we arrived in 1st January and everything was closed, we found frozen pizza in the gas station. The owner allowed us to go to the other aparment and use oven, because we did not have it.
In our aparment we liked bathroom and bed.

Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance.
Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance. Two nights was simply not enough. We met the most amazing and friendly people. The staff in the tourist information shop were so good. They were locals and knew the social and cultural history. An amazing stay. Strand Hotel staff were super helpful.

Bed were comfortable. Bathroom very tight and we had to run the water a long time to get it hot in the morning. They need to clean up the area just below our patio where there is piles of junk material. The beds were comfortable. The place is dated and worn but that did t bother us. The room was large, the hotel is old, everything in wood what I liked (I think it has more them 70 years) and the staff was very welcome. It is placed on the front of the fiord, where you can take a small walk. Have a small gaming room, football table and ping-pong which is good on a rainy day. The breakfast was good for the Hotel

The staff was super professional and friendly and very helpful. We had the opportunity to sit in the private hot tub by the fjord when it was cold and raining and it was fantastic. The breakfast spread was great and the checkout time of noon gave us plenty of time to enjoy our morning. We loved it.

Our sons were found of this staying due to all the attention paid into providing a lot of games: old arcade game, pool, ping pong, badminton, babyfoot, trampoline! That was the first time we met such attention, and that was very enjoyable. The breakfast was good.
