It's a beautiful little town in a place that I never imagine it was that magical. The perfect place to Relax for the weekend. Even though is a small town it has very nice places to eat . And the weather is perfect .

It was freezing cold outdoors, even though it was March. The was a mist till 10am. There are scores of stray dogs. Scary. The historic sites are all well kept and the info on posters is in Spanish and GOOD English! Great street food. Elotes, fresh, huge, cheap. Marquezitas, better than in Mérida! It is a beautiful town. It is very cold, so be ready for that. In general everything is wonderful. The only upside down is the fact that most business use cash only and there are not bank tellers in the whole town, so it is a big problem.

Come to Mineral del Monte to enjoy the yearly pastie festival, make sure you stay until the end. ( our mistake was leaving on the Sunday) While here, go and visit Mineral del Chico. In both places, take the turibus....a great way to see and hear about the history ( in spanish)ElisabethMexico

Located right in the heart of el Real and appointed with all the accoutrements you would want out of a deeply retro hotel. Steps to the square and food and everything. Staff were friendly and the balcony looking over the town was amazing. When i bring people back to el Real we will be staying here. Hands down the best property of my two weeks in Mexico.

Some of the rooms have a good view however ours #404 not much of a view. There is parking although you have to leave your keys with the hotel because the parking blocks other people so they have to move cars around to get to your car.

The shower was hot. Free tea and coffee in the lobby. Only 10 minutes walk to the main street on the city. Very clean and comfortable. Good TV with many channels and refrigerator too.

Has a great location, just few meters where the vans arrive from Pachuca, also is an excelente starting point to explore the town or take a taxi to go to other near towns.
