Situated in a wonderful area - resembling Arizona but then almost undiscovered by tourists. We did a hike through Ait Mansour, with a donkey for our youngest daughter and went to the painted rocks (impressive!). The Dutch owner Liesbeth had a nice 8 km treasure hunt walk for the next day, in the Ameln valley. We could not eat outside at the auberge (which we preferred with the nice weather) but went to the nearby town of Tafraout where there were a few lovely little local restaurants. We stayed 3 nights but the surrounding provides enough walks to stay longer.

Beautiful peaceful place where mom and son take care of authentic house and make you feel like home. They prepare me a pancake with nutella&banana for desert after dinner, that is something what you just could wish for during staying in Morocco. If you like to support local people this is perfect place to do it.
Great region with friendly people. The owner of Maison Afa was very helpfull, the house was comfortable and offer privacy for familly with children. Owner recommended nice location to visit. Wish to stay there longer time.

We ate at the restaurant La Kasbah which was wonderful and very good value. There are hikes, bouldering, climbing, and cycling opportunities all around. There is a wonderful shop run by Ali with all kinds of natural products - we bought Amlou, Argan oil (edible) and three different types of honey (cactus, carob, orange)

Tafraoute and surroundings are a blisful world away from Marrakech hustle. I'm hesitant to be too openly positive about this place, as I'd like it to remain somewhat off the beaten track. Tafraoute is a must-go if you want to experience true hospitality in a mind-boggling mountain backdrop. Don't go if you're in a rush. You'll want to stay.
The service was impeccable and room was welcoming. The bed was comfortable; sheets and blankets were a nice quality. The hotel is very well built and I did swim but water is a bit cool as it is November now but still had a few nice reading sessions and a drink while lazing in the sun on the poolside loungers. It is close to a historic village.
The hospitality of the team was great and welcoming, the facilities were clean and useful, in addition the location is very special, they have a view that is projected on the whole city of TAFRAOUTE and very calm. On the other hand they serve great breakfast and coffee ☕️
Everything was pretty much spectacular. The property, the host’s hospitality and attention, the food - I could not have wished for a better hotel experience - especially in a faraway place like Tafraoute.
Thank you Jean, we’ll come stay with you again very soon.
Bouchra was a gracious welcoming hostess, friendly, kind & helpful. My room was spacious, tastefully furnished in a traditional style. Both room & bathroom were spotless. The location is quiet but just a 15 - 20 min walk from the centre of Tafraout
Beautiful calm hotel run by a nice family. Close (a 5-10 minutes walk ) to the center of Tafraoute but in a calm area. Appreciate the incredible landscapes of the region from here. The stay here was very restful and ressourcing...
the staff was very friendly. the location is incredible and perfect to discover the area around Tafraoute.
The food was wonderfull!
A big thank you to the staff for having us during ramadan, we really had a lovely time!
The pool was very dense and clean, the rooms were spotless and very charming and comforting, the food was delicious, didn’t any issues with our reservation, the breakfast was so traditional and tasty
The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. They even generously offered to let me park my motorcycle in their garage. Perfect place for a motorcyclist visiting Tafraout and its surroundings.
Nice hotel, and very friendly to climbers who stay there to go climbing in Tafraout. Big Moroccan breakfast made and served by the welcoming host Khadijah makes it an even better stay.
Just book it ! I mean it's not a 5 star hotel or somethign luxurious, but you really feel like visiting your grandma's house, its so warm and homy, I will come back as much as I can !
For the money you pay the value is really good in this hotel. It is not a 5 star but quite clean for Morocco, warm in the winter and very central. WiFi is working great and speedy.
