It’s incredibly convenient for the Shinkansen terminal and car rental facilities - literally over the road. If like us you were just breaking your journey it’s pretty perfect. Breakfast is very good for the price. Dinner is offered too, though we didn’t try it.

I will not exaggerate - after coming out of the ticket gate of JR Hakodate station, you will reach the hotel within 2mins. That’s how near the hotel is to the station. The triple room I stayed in was quite large with a common area for 2 chairs and table with a room view of Mt Hakodate. You are able to store your luggage after check out and big thanks to the staff there for keeping my electronic watch which I left it in the room after check out.
