Free tea bags, bed was comfortable, curtains were dark. The staff was very helpful when booking the parking! The non-smoker rooms didn’t smell of smoke, which is not granted in Japan.

Excellent location, essentially right outside Kagoshimachuo Station, with easy transport links to the rest of the city and very close to lots of food options. Room was compact as is expected in Japan, but very comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. I had a great stay here!

the facilities are so poor, room is so small even in Japan's hotels, the room is not being well cleared. Anyway, the price is not deserved for the experience, except for the homeless.

The location is good with only few minutes walk from the nearby tram/bus station, lots of restaurants, drugstores and shops within 10 minutes walk. Staff are very helpful. There is no extra cleaning services (unless extra pay) but extra towels, bottle water and brushes are provided daily. Rooms is very spacious, beds and lightning are comfortable. Extra stuffs are provided which is out of our expectations, like hair straightener and air purifier.
A good stay and my family members love the stay too. Thanks very much ! I would recommend to my friends whom would visit Kagoshima!

The stores and restaurants in the train station were good.
The stores and restaurants in the train station were good. There is the famous Kiriko cut glass factory and gift shop, Senganen Gardens and an excellent restaurant with a view of the volcano, Yamakataya department store, and the people in Kagoshima are very helpful and friendly. Every time I go to Japan I go to Kagoshima now. It also has hot springs. It is easy to catch the bus and tram cars that come often to get around.

We liked the nearby shops, the closeness to ferry and trainstation with Shinkansen accessibility. We found a lot of different style restaurants nearby.
In our experience was 1 Queen-bed too small for 2 european people.
The free space allowed us to only open 1 suitcase at a time.

Fascinating, lively city, interesting surroundings, very approachable people. Good food, too. Public transport is well-organised and affordable, and easy to navigate. Sakurajima's brooding, smoke-spewing presence provides the city with a unique atmosphere. I recommend the Kagoshima Brands store for souvenirs and omiyage (9-1 Meizanchō, Kagoshima). And don't miss Sengenan on any account!

Kagoshima is a city with a large volcano in its back yard.
Kagoshima is a city with a large volcano in its back yard. It make for a different kind of vibe. It is also a port city with many ferries, mostly going south to the little island atchepelago that ends in Okinawa. Warmer weather than most of Japan but still pretty chill in January. Nice people, I found them friendly. I like the place.

Sakurajima ,Senganen, Siroyama, Tenmonkan, and so on. Famous sight seeing spots, I recommend you. And local foods, such as satsumaage, black pig, karukanmanjyu, kibinago, you had better try them.

The rural areas of southern Kagoshima are very different from the rest of Japan, with not so huge mountains and very spacious land. It gives a very nice and different vibe seeing all those flat farmlands spread along the see, with a backdrop of volcanoes and hot springs. There are also some good hiking spots. Especially, Yakushima is a paradise for hikers with its deep, pristine and quite untouched forests and streams.
Absolutely loved the place! It’s a hotel, but has a ryokan influence. The Japanese room was great, with enough room to move around and everything you need - water, tea, yukata, fridge etc
The onsen and traditional breakfast were great, too.
The location is perfect to visit many places of interest and the City View bus stop is just a couple of min walk from it.
My favourite thing was staff: they are all professional, friendly, welcoming, super kind and helpful. If I come back I will definitely stay here again, no doubt!
Like most Japanese hotels, the room was quite small. But it was comfortable. The hotel was in a good location near shopping areas. We weren't able to check in until 3 PM but the hotel offered to hold our luggage without charge until check in time. I wouldn't recommend a room for two forgeiners as the rooms are much too small and if you have large luggage, it would be very hard to store and access the luggage in the very small room.
Great location in the centre of things in Kagoshima city- right at Tenmonkan, the busy shopping and eating area with a tram stop just a step away. Very comfortable bed and wonderful “rain” shower in a booth rather than over a bath. Nice bonus massage chair in the room and lots of very nice tea (bags) to take freely at reception (kettle, mugs and small fridge in room). Best shower gel and shampoo- not the usual hotel stuff.
I contacted the property to see if we could drop our bags about 5 hours early as we were traveling with 2 young kids and a lot of luggage to make our day easier, when we arrived to the hotel to drop our bags they had our room ready and let us check in early. Staff were so nice and helpful. They organised taxis for us and nothing was to hard for them to help us. Great place to stay.
Perfect stay for us. Easy to store lugage before check in. Had a problem with my check-in, so staff was automatically called, and helped us very fast. Room was a very nice size, and felt newer and cleaner than other hotels we’ve stated at in Japan. Had ameneties available in the lounge, Which is Also a Big plus. Would stay there again, if we were going to Kagoshima!
The Gracias has apartments rather than rooms. There is a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, a microwave, and a two burner electric cooktop. It has a washing machine. Michiko was delightful. This is not a luxury hotel but the location cannot be beat. I’lll enclose a photo of the view from the sliding glass door.
The location is very convenient and close to Chuo Station. Very clean. Easy to check in via self check in. All amenities were complete for an overnight stay. I like how the hotel is practicing sustainability by providing the amenities at the lobby so customers can pick just what are needed.
A nice apartment located very close to the tram station, and 20 mins of walk from the Kagoshima Chuo station.
The apartment was very large compared to what hotels in Japan made me used to. It was clean and comfortable. Definitely worth its price.
Fantastic room that awarded us perhaps the best sleep of our trip. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, and access to a smart TV for the evenings. Good location as well, just a short 5-10 min walk from Kagoshima-chuo Station.
very good location, ~300m from Kagoshima Chuo Station. Staff is very friendly. Everything is clean and tidy.
If you arrive late, you can check in by yourself. Staff can email you the password for the back door.
Great Location. Train Station and a lot of Shops
nearby. Hotel has an amazing view of sakurajima and Kagoshima town. Had the room with view of sakurajima. Amazing.
Bed was comfy
