The location for shin Hiroshima was terrific. The hotel was very bright and comfortable and staff overall friendly.
Breakfast was standard hotel far but lacked some of the flare of traditional Japanese breakfasts experienced whilst in Japan for the last four weeks.
We stayed just one night purely for the convenience of heading to the train station the next morning with ease. Cookie cutter Sheraton hotel that services the needs of tourists exiting and entering Hiroshima.

It is a powerful albeit sobering visit. The horror of the event is so clear when visiting the museam and monument. The town is loverly and eveywhere you see signs, art and street names evoking lover and peace. a testiment to the people who live there choosing positive sentiments today given the recent past. I think it is a good thing for prople to see and contempate.

Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel.
Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel. On the way to the ferry he explained the history of Hiroshima. The boat ride to Miyajima and the Itsukushima Jinja shrine was very scenic. After lunch we went back to town and the Atomic Dome - terrifyingly impressive - and the Peace Museum. Do not miss this experience.

Hiroshima is a beautiful, nice city, in which I would highlight the Hiroshima Castle, a park with a ginkgo tree, a beautiful city center with numerous watercourses and specific cuisine. Good for 2-3 nights
many points can be reached by easy walking
there is good public transport available for more distant points
but in bad weather there is nothing to do and staying overnight is enough

The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective.
The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective. I really like it. A very nice pretty lady went out of her way to show my way to the hotel on my first day navigating to the hotel. She even walked with me and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because I looked so lost :)) She also went out of her way to accompany me to the Train 7 platform going to Chuden Mae. Too bad was not able to get her name. Very nice and helpful people. The map is easy to navigate after a few days. Just not aware there’s free hiroshima wifi. I could have skipped getting a subscribed plan for 5 days.

I visited the town in Sakura season, weather was pleasant which allowed me to discover all the local attractions on foot. Public transport, English speaking staff manning information desk at the station and hotel and shops was helpful.

I've been there before, and I just love it.
I've been there before, and I just love it. In many ways it's the perfect Japanese city. Well laid out, not so crowded, great facilities. The nightlife area is engaging, the public transport is (as always) first class. And the main reason for going there - the Hiroshima Dome - is as poignant and compelling as ever.
After paying your respects at the Dome, there are any number of other attractions that the city has to offer, including nearby Miyajima Island, which is a truly wonderful day out.
Clean, modern business hotel short tram ride from Hiroshima station and walking distance to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Also featured a reasonably-priced buffet with both western and Japanese breakfast offerings. Helpful and friendly staff; check-in time is 3PM but we dropped off our bags a few hours early and walked to the Peace Park with no problems, when we got back they had placed our bags in our rooms which was a nice touch. It was also fun to visit the spa on the top floor if you want a gentle introduction to onsen!
The room was spacious and quite modern compared to other Japanese hotels at this price point. Location was okay -- we ended up just walking to/from places like Hiroshima Station, Hiroshima Castle, and the Peace Park because the weather was nice, and the street cars took about the same time as walking did. The staff had enough English knowledge to help us check-in using English; we never expect such language proficiency in a foreign country, so it is certainly an added bonus worth noting. Would recommend this hotel.
Location is perfect, within the Hiroshima JR station grounds, and just off of the Northern exiit. The room was clean, standard size for Japanese hotels. Easy in and out, staff were very helpful. Shopping and dining area in the train station is also convenient to the hotel. A plus was a cute welcome package of hand drawn tourist information. The bus and train info was very helpful. Cute but also bittersweet origami crane in the room (only because of the story of Sakako and the Hiroshima bombing),
As you walk into reception, the hotel certainly has a calm, pleasant feel about it. The staff were very friendly. I can't remember what floor we were on, but it was high up with great views of the city. The room itself wasn't massive but not as small as what I think the Japanese standard is in other cities. As expected, very clean. It's in a great location to explore the main parts of Hiroshima. It also offered great value for money. I'd recommend!
I've stayed two nights in this place in Hiroshima, and I really enjoyed booking a room at this hotel. First of all, the price was really good, and the place is about 10 minutes walking from the A-bomb Dome, what was actually visible from my room's window. Breakfast was decent, nothing to complain about, wireless coverage all good, I would come to this place again if I would visit Hiroshima!
The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
But the entire property stinks like cigarette smoke. Every single floor and most likely every room as well we requested to have a different room as the one we got initially felt as if someone was smoking nonstop in it.
Everything in the hotel looks old and outdated.
The location is perfect; near everything important in Hiroshima.
Great location to the train station and tram stop.
Spacious room with 2 double beds, a bathroom inside with washing machine and a bathtub on the balcony with great hot water.
Loved this place so much I cancelled the other accommodation in Hiroshima to stay here instead.
Plenty of food places to choose from in Fukuya department store on the 11th floor short walk from the hotel.
We were lucky to have a room on the top floor overlooking the river, which was beautiful. The hotel is a short 7-minute walk from Hiroshima station which is convenient, although it’s a longer walking distance (20-25 minutes) to what I would deem the “heart” of the city centre. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. It was also exceptionally clean.
Excellent location, very close to Hiroshima Station and the JR hop on hop off tour bus. There are also a lot of dining options in and around the train station.
This hotel had a massage chair in the room, that was very welcome to take the muscle stress away after long walking days.
Beautiful views in all directions. Ferry to Miyajima island stops at hotel - very convenient. Excellent buffet dinner on 28th floor. Only drawback is transportation to and from downtown Hiroshima- wait for hotel shuttle, public bus or taxi (about 3000yen).
The hotel was the perfect location to stay in Hiroshima. The views were amazing, both in my room and at breakfast. The staff was very attentive and the venue was clean. I loved that they had laundry facilities (which my next hotel did not).
I like everything about this hotel, it was very clean, located near to the Hiroshima station, buffet breakfast was good and good for vegetarians also. they took care of every single thing and provided everything equipment that you need.
Clean hotel that offers free items for your room - toothbrush, cream, tea and coffee, and other basic items. The location is convenient for coming in and out of the city, about a 5 minute walk from Hiroshima Station.
The breakfast was varied and good value. The hotel was neat, quiet, and comfortable. Located a small distance away from the station (on the way to the Hiroshima Dome), and adjacent to a thriving nightlife district.
Everything is perfect and I definitely choose this hotel when I go to Hiroshima again!
The price is great, facilities are awesome and the staffs are kind. The best hotel I have been to Japan!
the hotel price is cheap. the big onsen spa is amaizing. the breakfast is very various and the breakfast room is large. you also can get the local hiroshima foods at the time.
