It is the second time that I have stayed in Hotel Iris and I love to stay here! It's well situated and a charming place with a good view of the city. The brothers Amin and Artin are always very helpful and I was very pleased to have the same room as I had the last time. I will definately come back as I feel very much home here :)

The ancient Etrurian city of Perugia forms a unique and romantic pattern, and is surrounded by green hills. Take the escalators, go up to the Rocca, and admire the panorama of juxtaposed layers of churches and ‘palazzi’ built during thousands of years. Perugia’s Old Town still houses several hotels and restaurants that are centuries old.
The city has a vibrant cultural life and is home to several important institutions, such as the renowned local university, the University for Foreigners, and other institutes. The International Journalism Festival, the Umbria Jazz, and the Eurochocolate Festival are major annual activities. Check the hotel availability in advance if you’re planning to visit Italy and Perugia around those dates.

It is a wonderful historic city. Although it is perched on high ground it is very accessible through public escalators in various parts of the city and with a minimetro from the Perugia station right up to the top at a very small price. Very convenient.

Nice , quaint city, the best was not having many tourists like nearby Assisi. many good restaurants to choose from (old city). being perched on a top of a hill , you need to be prepared to walk/climb quite a bit (but worth the effort)

Historic town with many historic buildings.
Historic town with many historic buildings. Easy to travel by mini metro and rail to Assisi. A shuttle bus operates to take visitors up to the old town. Lots of eating facilities and many restaurants. We used Perugia as a base from which we could visit Assisi.

A very picturesque, historical old town with plenty of cafes and restaurants; Uphill climb into the town centre is massively helped by the open air escalators and elevators; driving in the ZTL (very narrow streets) and parking in the centre is an issue (no possibility to book a parking space in advance) - but it may have been due to the increased inflow of tourists during the Umbria Jazz Festival

Perugia is not only a great city in itself but also a great base to explore the wonders of Umbria and even Tuscany. We had a week there and spent three days in the city itself sight seeing and shopping - highlights included the amazing new gallery, practically empty, the amazing Nobile Collegio del Cambio frescoed by Perugino, the medieval aquaduct that you can walk along and of course the Perugina chocolate factory (reached by Bus A from the Bus or train station if you don't have a car.) We also went on day trips to Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno and Spoleto by bus or train. I will be back as there were many other places that I would like to visit and Perugia makes a convenient hub. We also always found welcoming restaurants to eat in the evening and even got quite a few new clothes.

Perugia is historically one of the most important cities in Umbria. Sights are well presented, museums and entrance fees are reasonable, mongo attractions are free. Restaurants OK. During the Umbria Jazz festival, the city is quite crowded, but the city is even more colorful.
This actually was very interesting hotel. Great service by all. Kinda of outdated a little but it was charming of some sort.
Although older it’s very well maintained and clean. Convenient store on the first floor with all kinds of goodies. Good breakfast. If you are traveling with a car it’s perfect because they have easy parking. It’s kinda of far from city Center about 25 min walk up the hills and I mean steep hills ( I am a runner so well trained). I didn’t mind it because my main concern was parking so this worked perfect for me.
Very central in Perugia old town. Stylish and comfortable. The staff were very helpful with parking advice and helping with luggage on arrival, Sharon was great. The rooms are very good with a beautiful bathroom and the besr shower I have had in a hotel fir a long time. The breakfast deserves special mention: very big choice, also with hot dishes, fresh fruit, waffles and plenty more and very attentive staff to bring coffee etc. The rooms the breakfast is taken are beautiful. Can highly recommend!
Very nice & helpful staff (for instance sending directions on where to best park & how to get to the hotel). Very quiet location, just a short walk down from or up to the beautiful city centre. Easily accessible from the Piazzale Umbria Jazz (free parking) where you can take the MiniMetro for €1.50 right up to the old city (15min). From there it is a short walk down to the hotel. The room I had was decently large (as was the bathroom), with a balcony overlooking the small alley.
Very friendly helpful staff. Swimming pool. Easy access from motorway ONCE you sussed it out. Do NOT listen to gps when you get close if you want your marriage to survive. Try to follow hotels instructions. Very frustrating first time.
Breakfasts excellent. Great coffee.
Perugia very central to a lot of other interesting towns, wineries etc. Good base. Mini metro up into old Town fantastic, free parking at base.
Right next to Perugia’s central bus station, Sangallo Palace Hotel is a very nice hotel with a beautiful on-site restaurant. The staffs were very friendly and always ready to assist with any requests.. The room was spacious, clean, warm, and very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was very good, offering vast selections on hot food, cold cuts, pastries, fruits, and fresh juice.
Wifi was very fast
We had a very good time at Hotel Morlacchi in Perugia. The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the absolute centre of the historical town. At the same time, the accommodation includes free parking just a couple of minutes from the hotel, which is very convenient. We felt welcome at the hotel, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Many thanks for the great stay at Hotel Morlacchi!
The lady was super nice, very attentive and gave a lot of recommendations. She also offered us breakfast on the last day which was very sweet. It is located in the center and made visiting the city by foot very easy and convenient. It has private parking which was a huge bonus. The hotel itself was clean and the room was very cute and spotless clean.
It's a lovely hotel right in the centre of Perugia close to everything but in a quiet street. It has historic features beautiful cielings. The breakfast was very good with a choice of savory and sweet. The room was big we were 3 sharing a we had alot of room and a big bathroom. Hotel Fortuna is the perfect place to stay on a visit to Perugia.
Waking to the extraordinary view, wandering through the gorgeous old town, chatting with welcoming people, good food and wine…who could ask for more?
I love an old fashioned hotel and traditional services all of which Hotel Brufani delivers. I wish the property which is now a bit faded would be better kept as it used to be.
The staff, the shower, the breakfast and location were all great! One look at my husband and they upgraded us to a standard room. we were just staying one night so I had booked economy. Staff was responsive to a couple of requests and very helpful at every turn. Best shower in Italy!!
This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet street right next to the cathedral square. The staff are lovely and we enjoyed the excellent breakfast on the terrace. The room was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Bus and train connections are good. We loved our stay in Perugia.
Located near train station which is perfect for a day trip to Assisi. The host was very friendly and helpful but the thing that really stood out to us was the sparkling cleanness of the apartment (in fact the first in Italy we were able to walk barefoot comfortably).
The hotel was located near all the main sights. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of options. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. If I was to come back to Perugia, I would definitely choose Hotel La Rosetta again.
Very good location, n front of the Perugia train station. Excellent supermarket very close to the hotel. Reception was very good. Nice coffee house near by. Very close to the mini-metro, to go to historic center.
The hotel is in a very central position in Perugia. It is a lovely family run hotel. Breakfast was a good Italian one served in the comfortable dining area. It is a very warm and welcoming environment.
For me the location was critical 5 minutes drive from the Hospital. The Hotel is clean well maintained. The fodd was excelent. Both breakfast and dinner. Lot of parking The staff was very friendly.
Excellent location, not a fancy accommodation but that was expected. If you're driving, ask for parking! The hotel offers parking permits at a decent price, although this is not mentioned.
Superb location. Easy walk into town and not far from mini metro. Loved the house, great start to our Italy vacation.easy access to train station by mini metro.
