The private beach side location and the beach bar for cocktails at sunset were a little bit of paradise. The hotel was always clean and staff were professional, friendly and helpful. It was great to have your own subbed allocated for your stay. We enjoyed the on-site Michelin * restaurant, Pietremare, where service was excellent and the food very good. The poolside restaurant was also good for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the option of massages on site.

The guesthouse is located in the very centre of Le Castella, just in front of the castle. Check in was fully automatic with code to the entrance doors. The room was quite spacious and its bathroom is also spacious, with large and comfortable shower. Everything is clean and in quite high standard, very resonably priced. Breakfast was served in the bar nearby and it was simple italian breakfast but good (coffee, juice and croissant). There was no private parking but it was not a problem to park at the edges of the town (ZTL zone) for free. In my case it was about 300 m from the guesthouse. It is good guesthouse for one transit night as well as for longer stay as a base to explore Calabria.

Above all: wonderful family, they make you feel at home! Thank you Rita, Francesco, and especially Daniele, talented and very social young man. We are proud of you!!

There is one thing to see and it is spectacular - the castle...
There is one thing to see and it is spectacular - the castle on its own islet with a causeway. Eat at the Aragonese opposite for good food, great music and the best view. There are other places but none were open on a Tuesday in late October. The seafront is easy to walk around, but there is nothing remarkable about the rest of the town. The castle is breathtaking at night when it is floodlit, there are parks for walking and taking photographs, the beach looks nice (but I did not have time) and there is a lot of fishing activity. It's a quiet town with hospitable people - a charming lady saw me looking lost and helped me find the Raggio di Sole. Unless you are a fisherman, a one night stay is enough.

a jewel in a marine natural park, scuba dive and sailing...
a jewel in a marine natural park, scuba dive and sailing recommended, docking fees very convenient all facilities in place, good simple cuisine,..wonderful surroundings, public beach in 1 km from centre: avoid beach close to castle monument. Restaurant VISTA prime service and food and astounding romantic view of the aragonese fortress. In august some night entertainment offered.
Okay, so this room was very cheap (not that we were after that particularly) - we had the ground floor room (not that we specifically picked it) - but it is definitely not what I would call deluxe. The place was clean, with a decent (but tiny) bathroom. If you are intending to party most of the night and then just crash, it'd be fine but for anything more - forget it.
It's a shame because Le Castella is a lovely little resort, with a splendid castle across a short causeway.

I didn’t stay at this property, but at the hotel Orizzonte, in Campolongo, a few kilometres from Le Castella, because I arrived too late and Simona, the owner suggested I could stay at this Hotel whose owner is her mother. In this way I didn’t have to wait too much.
Both ladies are very friendly and made me feel at home.
The hotel is located in a very quiet environment and I slept like a log.
The coffee in the morning was perfect 👍🏻
Hotel Annibale is the kind of hotel I love: cosy with a personal touch, with tidy rooms with all the modern equipment you need. I had the luck to stay here when in between more busy times, and was offered a large triple room although I was traveling alone, and even a free ride to Crotone! But I'm sure that even in busier moments the hosts/owners do their very best to make your stay as comfortable and lovely as possible!
Beautiful location with fabulous views out to sea and over the harbour. Le Castella itself is a lovely unpretentious Italian seaside town with an incredible castle and a beautiful Sandy beach. It’s not overdeveloped and the local people were really friendly. Casa Sunrise was just ideal, spacious and comfortable with a lovely big outside terrace. Really well equipped with everything you could want.
The apartment is located in a holiday compound with many facilities, including a private beach; also, a private parking area is included. The owner was very kind and helpful, allowing us to stay a little more than the scheduled checkout to appreciate Le Castella’s wonderful sea.
Everything! Villa Aurora made my trip a magic! The staff was very polite and helpful. Mrs. Aurora and her husband made me feel like I was Home. I fully recomend Villa Aurora for any body who wants to enjoy the magic of Le Castella!
Very nice host, we only arrived at around 10pm and got prompt access to our room. Very clean and nice with a sea view and a beautiful terrace. Great location in Le Castella and for us a wonderful place to stay and relax.
