Grado is a great place to base yourself for a few days.
Grado is a great place to base yourself for a few days. It is a marine town with tons of boats. We would eat our gelato in front of the marina every night.
We were here for two main sights.
First was birding the nature preserve. We rented bikes in town. We saw quite a few shore birds like heron and ibis and our first flamingo in the wild.
Second was the Roman town of Aquillia. If you are a fan of Roman history you have to see this place. Some of the best Roman mosaics in the world.

The destination in main tourist seasons is little bit crowded as it is small island and parking there might be challenging on some days, but once settle Grado provides great variety of Italian restaurants with cuisine you will fall for. The long sand beaches are beautiful and shallow slowly descending shore is great for families with small children.

It is an interesting town with very different parts, old and new. It is well kept with lovely flower beds. There are some very good restaurants...we try to visit once a year and always go to Tony's restaurant which is excellent. We stayed in Pineta this year for the first time where the car parking was demanding !!

Great location, peaceful, garrage, bikes to borrow for free - great for to be used around the town. Grado is an amazing town, atmospheric, great views, sightseeing, food, grocery stores close by, great goods in shops, clean town, peaceful.
Hotel is cute and perfect for a short stay! I really liked the option of renting a bike at the hotel (for free!), which allowed me to explore more of Grado and it was lovely to explore in that way. Location is also good, about 15 min bike ride to main part of Grado, but depends on your time of visit, sometimes it is actually a bit more peaceful and relaxing to not stay completely in the city center. Room was basic, but clean and had all the neccesities. Breakfast was also tasty, quite a large assortment of food.
We stayed during the off-season, and this hotel was a great choice. It's situated not in the center of Grado but further along the beach in a quiet residential neighborhood. The room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast was satisfactory, and parking around the hotel behind a gated area was provided. While the staff could have been friendlier, overall, we were very happy with our stay.
Everything is beautiful! Especially the employees Sara and her colleague. They are very diligent, helpful and friendly beyond words. They make the place like heaven.
As for the hotel itself, the location is perfect, the breakfast is delicious and variable. The cleanliness and tideness of the room is amazing. The Terrace and the lagoon view make very relaxing evenings :)
It is a quiet smaller family hotel near the town center and near the beaches. Owners are very kind people. Breakfasts are perfect prepared, the choice is rich. Rooms are small, but equipped with air condition, fridge and balcony, WiFi is included. The price/quality ratio is good. Can definitely be recommended to undemanding clients.
I had a fantastic stay at these apartments! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the cleanliness was impressive, and the spacious room with a large terrace and balcony was a definite highlight. The amenities provided everything I needed, and the hotel's location was excellent. Plus, the breakfast was delicious!
Our room was very clean and comfortable, also the terrace is a great feature. The neighborhood is calm and not too far away from Centre, close to the beach. One of the receptionists was very helpful and told us a lot of helpful information about Grado.
Attractive, modern, comfortable, clean apartment in a quiet residential area of Grado next to the northern marina and only 350 metres away from a beautiful, public beach. The balcony is enormous. The kitchen is well equipped.
the property is located at a very nice and elegant street full of other hotels and apartments. surprisingly it’s also very quiet even though the place is crowded with tourists and people who live there.
Breakfast buffet was standard but very good quality. Personell was very friendly. Service was great as always. The Hotel is very well located close to the center. Its a traditional Hotel of Grado.
Friendly reception and staff, especially Tiziano, who was very helpful.
The position of the hotel is perfect.
Morning sun on the balcony above the quiet street.
Generous breakfast.
