We rented the 2 bedroom apartment just across from the hotel for our family. A beautiful cozy space with still enough space to keep the kids happy. Breakfast served at the hotel every morning and nice to have the fireplace going in the evenings in the historic lobby. The hotel provided discount to 2 partner restaurants which both served excellent food.

The location was perfect for a quiet start to go hiking. Views were awesome, in the middle of the nature but also only a 30 minute walk from the nice little village of Cogne where they had many cute stores and restaurants. Loved the private little balcony we had and the views of the glacier. Also wonderful to fall asleep listening to the rapids.
Set in the St. Orso Plateau in the Gran Paradiso National Park, Bellevue Hotel & SPA is a traditional mountain house in front of the glacier.

This is our third time at the hotel, the experience is second to none. Exceptional food and advice on wine is truly outstanding. The added benefit of a world class spa experience just makes the stay even better. The sommelier also arranged a visit for us to the producer of Le Prissonier wine, outstanding memory. We will be back to the hotel soon.

Breakfast was great. The chef also every day bakes his own pastries. Also various cereals, breads and topings, as well as different fresh fruit.
Dinner... amazing!! We were a group of 9 (had 5 out of the 7 rooms) and first thought we would have dinner in town every second evening. In the end we had dinner "at home" on 6 of the 7 nights. The dinner was creative, beautiful to look at .... but even more delicious! Great choice of wines too.
The rooms are quite simple, but very clean. Good shower. Also a desk where you can work at.

Cogne is the main village in Gran Paradis national park in Val d'Aosta.
Cogne is picturesque, with a market for local produce, several charming restaurants, and good outdoor activity shops - even a cobbler for hiking boots.
The walking trails accessible from Cogne range from T (touristic) via E (excursion) to EE (expert excursion), and have fabulous views of surrounding mountains.
Two of the main hotels are owned and run by the same family, with the older hotel established in 1899 - a real sense of history.

Cogne is in one of the smaller valleys in Val d'Aosta, situated almost at the end of the valley. Great nature, snow, local food, ski and cross country resort. Nice setting, but you have to know that it's 27 km from the main valley and the town of Aosta.
Be prepared for winter conditions and more snow than usual, also on the road. The village of Epinel (where we were located) is quite steep, you should have good shoes and preferably hiking poles, especially in winter.
Cogne offers reataurants, spa facilities, all sorts of sports and great hiking spots.

Cogne managed to stay the same small town as it was 30 years ago, it did not change, and let's just hope it will stay the same for the next generations to enjoy its superb alpine surroundings.
The centre (late August) was not too much crowded by tourists, it has a charming small church, and picturesque shops offering local delicacies (note: not suitable for people with celiac disease!), and wines in Italian spirit.
The mountain hiking trails leaving from Lillaz offer great alpine escape-the-world experiences, and the easy walk along the river to Epinel is nice for a rest day.

Cogne is a beautiful small Italian village located in the Gran Nacional Parc. Wonderful hiking and biking trails in a spectacularly beautiful area. The Aosta Valley is also a great place to explore.
The hotel is located right in the center of the town, walking distance from bars, restaurants, and grocery stores.
The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is fenomenal.
The hotel also has a cozy spa (with jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna), which is perfect after a day of hiking. The steam room was a bit cool for our liking, altough we didn't ask the staff to adjust it, and used the sauna instead.
Beautiful appartment in the center of Cogne, equipped with taste and very comfortable, much more brighter than it looks from photos. The kitchen equipped with a lot of pots, pans, plates and other dishes. The access to a shared garden with the possibility to sit in front of the appartement gives it an added value! We also appreciated the possibility to wash our cothes after a 5-day trek in the mountains.
Large rooms with big comfy beds overlooking a beautiful prairie surrounded by mountains. Easy walking distance to restaurants & shops in Cogne, plus free underground parking for the car. Surprisingly nice spa and pool with aqua massage and many different sauna types. Nice continental breakfast buffet with Italian cakes/pastries. Beautiful hikes nearby in Cogne, Valnontey, & Lillaz
The hotel is located just off the meadows of Cogne, overlooking the natural reserve and the Gran Paradiso mountain. Hiking trails are available just off the main entrance. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The small pool and spa were fantastic after a hard day's hike. The hotel restaurant was also very good, and the breakfasts were delicious and generous.
Had a fantastic stay at Petit Dahu, will definitely be back. The staff are so friendly and helpful, really lovely to us throughout our stay. The restaurant was brilliant, excellent food - would definitely recommend booking a table. The hotel is very cosy and charming and right on the edge of the National park and a few minutes drive to Cogne.
New owner is a super guy, all the staff are lovely. It's right in the centre of Lillaz. Ideal if you are here for the ice climbing, or hiking in summer.
Great value, dinner is sometimes in the hotel, sometimes at his restaurant opposite. Chef is great and the food is very tasty.
Highly recommend the place.
This is an amazing hotel. The spa is absolutely heavenly and there are tons of different saunas to choose from. It is 100% percent worth it to get a room with Mountain View. The view was unlike anything else. The decor is lovely and there are lots of details and amenities that add to the experience.
The location was perfect for exploring Cogne. The room was a comfortable size, very clean, comfortable beds. Bathroom was beautiful grey and wood tile and with good space and very fancy shower. The breakfast had great coffee, cold cuts, pecan tart, custard puffs The female staff tried to be helpful.
It was in a good location, with parking right in front of it and it was quiet.
The room was spacious and clean.
Unfortunately the snow did not allow it, but you can start nearby the house and the trail will lead to Cogne.
They also had a room for waxing skis.
The decor, the location, the view, the cleanliness and the friendliness :D everything was perfect.
My partner and I didn't have a car and we were able to move around pretty ok to Cogne and to the main hikes, bus stop is literally next to this accommodation.
The spa was really good with a broad variety of saunas and whirl pools. Great with free parking in the cellar right at the hotel. Nice room with a small balcony with a nice view to the mountains, but also some noice from the street.
Cogne and the surrounding areas are beautiful - this made up for the somewhat run-down appearance of Lou Tsantelet on the outside. Inside it is scrupulously clean and welcoming, with lovely handmade quilts and cushions.
Cozy and spotless clean room. I really liked the Gaggia coffee machine, it was the best touch of an hotel room that I've seen in my life. Balcony and breakfast in the room was also a big plus.
This is a wonderful hotel in a truly spectacular location, right at the trailhead and in the mountains, with amazing views and wildlife. The owner was charming and helpful.
I stayed there one week to do the gran paradiso.
The room and the service was very good.
I would recommend this hotel.
The breakfast was good too with delicious coffee.
