Nice historical centre, however the best view is from the road. The are bars and restaurants in the downtown, direct access to the beach. Just around a corner there was an amazing Orbetello nature reserve which will be interesting for birdwatchers. Dozens of flamingoes even in May.

This felt like a hotel with remaining covid caused issues - under staffed ( i.e pool furniture not ready in the mornings / pool bar closed ) slow service etc
I am sure that it will return to its former glory but some areas need some updating / redecoration and staff
Also the hotel should mention if they are putting you in the annexe which is across a not very pleasant car park
Overall the hotel has a wonderful setting but needs a little work

What a great little gem of a town, small, and yes, tourists, but plenty to see and do within walking, and more places to explore by car or local bus. Mix of free and private beaches, go to the east side where there are no breakwater rocks. --we chose to pay for umbrella and chairs at Bagno Vela and returned again the next day. Got affordable, fresh, good food at the attached restaurant for a pleasant al fresco lunch. There are places to ride a bike (a dedicated path heads south along the pine tree coast) and lots of rentals available, our hotel offered them for free. . Safe, easy to get around, and with the castle and medieval town on the hillside over the center, a real delight to explore especially toward sunset. We stayed 2 nights, another day at the beach would have been great. Having seen some of the other beaches further down the coast, Castiglione Della Pescaia was a great pick for pleasant waves, clean water, and light sand. It is likely busy during the weekend even in September--we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, but by Monday the beaches had thinned out nicely while still having a fun resort feel. Friendly and welcoming people abound. Osteria Del Mare for an unforgettable seafood dinner.

We had a great week staying close to Castiglione.
We had a great week staying close to Castiglione. Although our property was about 10 minutes drive away from the town centre, we spend most evening there enjoying vibe (and the gelato). The town has all the amenities that you would need, and plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you occupied in the evenings. During the day, we spent most of our time on the beach at nearby Rocchette, which was excellent.

A nice small coastal town with the old town on the hill and with a "castle" with two towers on top of it all. There is a nice view from the top but the towers are in private ownership so you can not enter the "castle".

Brand new structure with modern and comfortable rooms, very nice walk-in shower, excellent breakfast with homemade joghurt and cakes. Stayed in for dinner one evening: excellent food, all homemade too. Location perfect for visiting places in the Maremma and going to the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia. Mara, his mother and the whole family are lovely hosts: we felt like at home - thanks for everything! Highly recommended for couples and families. A plus: the attention to anticovid measures.
Roma hotel is situated in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia, in front of the port. Rooms are clean and modern and view on the seaside is just great! There is a roof top terrace where one can enjoy breakfast or aperitivo with a view on both - sea side and a castle! Behind the hotel there is a little street full of restaurants and bars! It’s a walking distance from the castle and city beach. There is also a parking just behind the hotel. Our stay there was great!
Everything was well organized. The beach was good for family-style frolicking in shallow waters. The tent-cabin we rented was very clean and comfortable and well appointed, including a little kitchen area that had everything you needed to cook with. There is a small grocery shop in the center of the compound, with prices that were not bad: a little higher than a typical grocery but not terrible at all.
Good location, close to the beach and 5 min walk from city center. Public beach at the end of the street, plus ´bagni’ on each side.
Hotel is small but confortable, especially the beds. Beware there is no elevator (2 floors). Good breakfast, bicycle at your convenience, air conditioning, private parking and above all very nice and helpful people.
We had good time in Kinda hotel, and Castiglione.
Great location to visit the medieval town and to reach the seafront. Lovely breakfast at a cafe on the beach for only a few extra euros. The room was very clean and comfortable and staff very kind and helpful. There is reserved parking at a nearby location which is a about 300-400m away but you can drop and load your bags right next to the hotel.
From the time we arrived, everyone there made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Even more wonderful was the upgrade to our room at the same price! We truly appreciated that. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location is perfect for going to the beach and into town. We also appreciated the free parking.
Staff was super friendly! We were driven to the parking lot so we did not need to walk to and from which was very convenient! Rooms were more modern and larger than I anticipated! Breakfast was fabulous and the location could not be better, easy to walk to the main street and beaches.
Room was very clean and comfortable. The property is located very close to the fantastic beach. Host was super nice and friendly. Breakfast was really good. 10 mins walking from here, there is cute small town with nice restaurants. Highly recommended
Charming, exceptionally welcoming and helpful host. Beautiful peaceful position with a superb pool but also conveniently close to Castiglione della Pescaia. Great to have our own private balcony and everything was immaculately clean.
The house is ideally located, has great view, fantastic terrace and is fully equipped in high quality amenities of all sorts. Fantastic city beach (Somalia) is within 5 minutes drive and next to city parking. We will return for sure
Nice location,in the middle of a green area, close to the beach, clean and comfortable room, clean and pretty big pool!
Small and useful terrace, we could bring the bikes with us close to our room.
Beautiful resort with all the amenities; fitness room, pools, beach all top notch; restaurants had great choices that were reasonably priced. Lots of outdoor activities! Great location
