A small town on the outskirts of the Jim Corbett National Park. The town per-se has nothing to boast about. But because of its proximity to the park and good town to stay if interested in tiger safari or an en-route halt between the higher hills of Uttrakhand and Delhi NCR. Nature treks and jungle drives (own car).

We traveled from Bhimtal to Ramnagar between 9 PM to 12 PM, very scary and dangerous road, I recommend driving only in the daytime if you are going the first time, make sure your car is in good condition, mobiles are fully charged, have food stuff, And most important a trusted contact number in case of any emergency.

Better stay outside in the resorts available.
Better stay outside in the resorts available. They are way better. I would highly recommend Narayana's Resort in Dhikuli. They also have a very good restaurant and the owner is very friendly and hospitable. Dhikala zone and the forest rest house stay is very much overrated and you will find it disappointing for the money you pay for it. Bijrani forest rest house stay was much better. Book the safari in Jhirna zone also if you can. Sightings are much better.

Excellent place. I visited for the first time. Enjoyed the surroundings and saw a group of elephants. Had the famous tandoori chai on the way, got to know about the place Gargia, known for Girija Devi mandir and Hanuman Dham. Overall, I am looking forward to visit the place again!

Homemade food was excellent and provided according to our needs. The home is in an excellent location to enter the Jim Corbett reserve. Luckily here it was an amazing good experience, food was lovely. But the best part was the entire staff was very supportive and helpful. Enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. Rooms were simple but they sanitized regularly. Also the river was just nearby . Had some hiccups with electricity but than its forest area , and they have generator backup. Overall would luv to comeback.

Safari operators charge little extra for the pick/ drop. However, the location is cool, specially for self owner driven car guys. On the main highway and great; provided not interested in park safari. Cosy and comfortable rooms. Food buffet is normal, simple and tasty. You walk out onto views of Jim Corbett and are surrounded by green. The outside area is nice and big as well with a friendly furry stray cat. Imran also went out of his way to show us films about the tigers and he is very knowledgeable on the subject.
