Right in the centre of town - great as a base for walking around the old town.
They make it perfectly obvious that they don't serve ANY food but not a problem as restaurants and cafes on doorstep plus great move to allow you to bring food into the bar !

I lived there for seven years and I miss it. If you have not been go there. It has everything you need in a town. All shops are accessible by walking. It has a very good nightlife and you will not be stuck to find a good restaurant. The people there are very friendly. Fantastic beaches within a short drive. The problem when I go there I spend too much lol.

Friendly people ,lots of shops with character and individuality! Could do with more gastro pubs without spoiling the charm of this lovely town! Lots of things to do and see in Wexford especially in Gorey where there is a lovely town and lots of estates sites to visits seeped in history/ culture etc! Wexford is easy to get around on foot and by car! Loved Enniscorthy Castle well worth a visit! The seal sanctuary in Courtown is also well worth a visit!

We went to Wexford for the annual Opera Festival. The Opera House is delightful. Wexford itself is a vibrant place with lots of independent shops and restaurants and an interesting history dating back to Viking times. Of particular note was a restaurant called Jaspers (booking essential) in the Crown Quarter.
Lots of parking facilities and a compact town so easy to walk round.

Wexford is a beautiful harbour town with a great mix of shops. Lots of bars, which have plenty of live music each night, including 'Trad Nights' with traditional Irish music, also lots of eateries, sights to see, art galleries and a National Opera House. The twin churches are very pretty, make for a beautiful photograph from a distance and are both worth a look inside to make comparisons. It's only a short walk between the two. The short drive over Wexford Bridge towards Ferrybank takes you to the beach where the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan was filmed and in the other direction towards Rosslare, if you drive past Kelly's resort Hotel and keep on going and going along the little peninsula, there is a very interesting Lifeboat Memorial to be seen which looks over towards Wexford itself.

Wexford was just a stopover for us on the way to other places. We arrived at night and left in the morning. I think a day or two would have been good to explore, but we simply didn’t have time this trip.

This is our second time in wexford and unfortunately everytime we have been there it was raining heavily.
The buildings look dreary in bad weather. People we met were very friendly and helpful and we liked that its a walkable town.
We had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Whitford House Hotel, all the staff were welcoming and friendly at both the reception and restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both were really good. The hotel also had a decent gym and swimming pool. The room itself was cosy, clean and comfortable, with a nice sized bathroom. The hotel was only a 10minute drive from Wexford Town and we spent another day at Dungannon and Hook Lighthouse, which was around 30/40 minute drive from the hotel.
Perfect location to spend two separate nights after an evening arrival at Rosslare and also the night before an early departure (07.00). Rosslare is 18 mins away.
Comfortable, clean, quiet and a lovely Irish breakfast on the first night.. We were given sandwiches, crisps, fruit, and biscuits as we felt it was too early for breakfast on our departure morning!
A local hotel provided adequate food in the evening but I'm sure a better meal could be found in Wexford just 5 mins away.
Killane castle exceeded all of our expectations it is a good as any blue book house if not better ! From the snug with tea coffee and homemade cookies and biscuits to the dining room where you can have a glass of wine ! The breakfast selection is more like something from a 5 star hotel fresh fruits from the garden their own organic yogurt, fresh scones with their own jam and marmalade and a menu with amazing breakfast choices would highly recommend and will definitely go back
This is 1 of the best hotels we have stayed in + we highly recommend this hotel. It is located within town + just a few mins walk from amenities.
Lovely relaxing hotel with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi + steam room.
Key card was used to access lifts.
Our room was situated at the front of the hotel with a great view of the harbour.
Staff were very helpful + friendly.
Great choice for breakfast + we had to pre book a time each day for our breakfast.
Friendly staff, warm welcome, huge room, spacious bathroom (with bath),comfortable bed, substantial breakfast menu, lovely food, plenty of tea\coffee making facilities , quiet surroundings in a great location close to local attractions, beaches and The Hook Lighthouse. Easy access to the ferry if you wish to visit neighbouring Waterford and only 30 mins from the shops, sights and sounds of Wexford town.
We had a meal in the hotel on the night we stayed, food was delicious, and staff were very helpful, couldn't have been nicer! It was quiet enough but could imagine it's a busy spot during peak summer season. Room was nice, clean and modern, bed was very comfortable, which is a must obviously! Nice location, close to rosslare for the ferry or beach but also close to Wexford town too.
Beautiful country house hotel with friendly hosts and an abundant, delicious breakfast. thoughtful touches like tea and coffee and biscuits available all day. We travel with our dog and had a separate breakfast area which meant total relaxation. A short stroll down the hill takes you to the Wexford Walking Trail, which provides off lead possibilities for any holidaying Fido!
The hotel was perfect. The staff were so nice!! The lady on reception was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. I also left something in the room and had to go back. The manager was so helpful and a lovely man to deal with. I will definitely stay again, perfect for a nice night out in Wexford.
Also, the Riverbank is fantastic for food and a lovely warm and welcoming bar.
The quality and range of food at breakfast was outstanding. It was by a long way the best breakfast we've had in staying at a range of hotels and b and bs in Wexford for thirty years. Service was excellent too. In the room, bed was comfortable. Lots of nice touches - good towels, iron and ironing board, table and comfortable chairs in the room. Bottles of water on departure.
The landlord was very helpful and gave us suggestions of where we could go for an evening meal, as they don’t cook on the premises. However, there is a little food “shack” attached that serves breakfast and snacks during the day. We could walk to the centre of Wexford from the hotel. The room was very clean and well equipped
My Husband and I really injoyed the breakfast there was plenty of fruit cereals and hot dishes to choose from the Hotel has a lovely dinner menu and the food was execellent The staff were lovely and helpful and friendly and our room had a river view and it was so spacious thank you all
Loved the location of the hotel. Although in the middle of the bar 'strip' it wasn't really that noisy or disruptive. Location near to many other shops & pubs too. Hotel bar staff/service were wonderful as well. So friendly & gave great suggestions on places to go.
Right in the middle of Wexford everything close by shops pubs Resturaunts great places too eat with a wide range of food to suite everyone 1st time staying in this hotel but will be back very soon great night life too in the huge bar with live music at the weekend
I like the room and comfortable bed. Location of the hotel is in centre and close to restaurants, shops and most things. The restaurants serve good food and the breakfast is amazing and plentiful. We like this hotel and we stay here when in Wexford.
staff was so very kind and helpful. My mother in law became I’ll on our trip and the hotel staff kindly helped us with local pharmacy information and a late check out so we could attend to her.
