The hotel is a bit out of the town centre, but perfectly fine for car drivers - once you get used to the multi level one way system! Buncrana is well placed for touring North Donegal County and visiting Derry/Londonderry City nearby in N. Ireland, to where there are no travel or border restrictions. Thought the local ferries were a bit expensive for cars. The local attraction "Wild Ireland" situated near Burnfoot was well worth a visit. And a visit to Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, is a "must do" too. Be advised that the famous Slieve League Cliffs are over 100km from Buncrana.

Family break: 2 adults & 2 children. Loads to do, loads of activities and loads to see. The kids preferred Donegal to our week in Spain earlier this yr. The area is beautiful with lovely beaches nearby and loads of things to visit. We will definitely be back soon.

The house was ideal for a large family group. There were plenty of baths and showers in the house. The house has a great view. Apart form a few very minor things we were very satisfied. There is beautiful countryside, excellent beaches, and places of historical interest within easy reach of Buncrana.

Great place especially at the weekend you seriously must stay in the town clock a you really will be surprised a great friendly bunch of people who cook the most fantastic Italian food in the bistro down stairs from where you stay darius is a true gentleman who will give you a great friendly welcome then head over to o Flaherty bar for a night of Craic and Guinness then drop into o scallions for a quick game of pool and a cocktail then next morning when your leaving town clock take a right turn to Lilly rose cafe bakery for a fantastic fry but bring your hungry with you because that is one mega fry they serve

A visit to Dunree Fort is worth a visit.

A visit to Dunree Fort is worth a visit. We didn't visit the museum but did some of the walks which were spectacular. We also ate in the little cafe on site which was very good indeed. Coffee in particular! Buncrana town is lovely, plenty of shops, bars and cafes. Its a one way drive system. We ate at Tank and Skinnys - just coffee and cake, but the food going to other tables looked delicious - we'll definitely be back.

We were going to Buncrana festival and this property was perfect for us. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the festival site. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped. The sofa bed in the lounge was easy to erect and comfortable for my daughter. Gary met us on arrival and went through everything with us. All communication prior to the visit was prompt and friendly. We ate in the centre of town before the gig. It is an easy 10 min walk. There was a great pub opposite the apartment also.

Lovely big property, beautiful views over the lough, 2 minute drive to a lovely beach, and near to pubs / restaurants. Lots of space for the family to spread out in the property and I can imagine in summer it will be stunning having a BBQ in the outside patio area. Heating also worked well.
