Many vendors cannot understand “no”and follow us everywhere we we go nagging and nagging and very annoying. One followed us to our hotel another followed us to the restaurant.
The market is not all that as Antigua has a market and Guatamala City has central market with equal products and food. I found out they charge more on Thursdays and Sundays because of the tourists.
The local restaurants quality of food is terrible.
We ate at San Juan and Las Brasas
Not worth going to Chichicastenango.

This hotel is so beautiful and really is like a museum, living within a historic building in the amazing town of Chichicastenango. Even the wooden furniture is authentic and beautifully carved. The room is spacious and I got a room with a view to the mountains.
The staff are excellent and provide such great service and hospitality.
The onsite breakfast and restaurant is really good.
Instead of just visiting Chichi market for the day it is worth staying the night and being amongst the locals.
The owner was very nice and engaging, and there's a very cute, sweet dog that stays in a box right in front of the hotel. The location was nice, close to the market and sites but a bit outside the action. It's a cute, small town, so it's easy to get around.
The room is basic and has everything you need.
It was a bit cold, but there were lots of blankets. The shower also had hot water and worked well.
The Internet was fine, but not great, so I used my phone data instead some of the time.
The hotel has super charming rooms and patio. The room was big and we everything we needed. A super plus is that there is the possibility to call the staff to set the fire in the fireplace, if the night is cold (as in our case). The staff is super helpful and welcoming. The position is great as is right behind the market square.
This is a beautifully maintained old hotel located very close to the markets. We particularly liked the fireplace in our room that was lit on demand when the evenings got too cool. We ate in the hotel restaurant and while the menu is limited the food and service were excellent.
Breakfast is not free but very nice. Miguel is a super nice host and showed me the nicest taqueria in town, 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Comfy place, super cute decorations. I felt welcome there.
I was able to check in early before going to the market. The hotel is close to the market. Breakfast was good and the fresh bread was wonderful. Naturally there was fresh Guatemalan coffee and fruit.
More like an AirBnB than a hotel but the owner is friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well and the room was clean and comfortable. Free filtered was available to refill a water bottle.
I could change the room after one night as the room was very noisy and had no view.
Very good situated, close to the main attractions.
Very special hotel with a lot of old objects.
Restaurant at the hotel is excellent, breakfast was delicious. Rooms are new and beautiful and the park around the property is very peaceful. Nice hotel!
