The island is big, but you can go everywhere easily with public transportation, the bus station is near to the port and they have very clear schedules, the buses leave on time and you can pay by card for the tickets. Parikia is a good place to begin your travels of Paros. it is a convenient location to base yourself in as there is a bus terminal that allows you to take a short ride to Naoussa and surrounding areas. Overall, we preffered the small village of Aliki for a longer stay, as it was quiter and had a more relaxing vibe. The beaches in Parikia were not overly special, and I would not advise staying here if you desire luxury scenery. If you wish to visit the nicer beaches, definitely hire an ATV. Parikia used to be the black sheep of the family concerning Paros villages. Eveyone told me that Naoussa is the best place to be. I beg to differ. Paros has come under a big progress restaurant wise and is one of the few greek islands where you can have so many options in dining, especially italian. The only thing missing from Parikia is a bar or club where people can dance all night. It's the puzzle piece that will complete the upgrade.

You wont find a decent restaurant even tho there are numerous ones to choose from .......... I have been to numerous locations in Greece and so i can speak from experience. You know the design pictures from pinteres on greece design? This how it is actually. The place, excellent design, with a good taste and quality even the wi-fi ap are latest model and technolyogy. The view, second to none. Breathtaking. Makis is the co-owner, he does one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. For my girlfriend and I, this is our dream vacation and the 5 star rating is not enough.

The host and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, they provided welcome lemonade, organised a rental car for us and provided medical equipment for a minor incident.
