The accommodation is new and located near the beach. The private parking was convenient. The host, Yiotha, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late (~11pm), and they waited for us and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and assisted us to carry our luggage up the stair to the room. Our room was of good size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was excellent, including omelette, fried eggs, a good serve of cakes, pies, pastries, breads, yogurt, fruit bowl, juice and coffee. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring.
Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring. As long as you are reasonably fit and mobile there is a lot to explore. A few shops and tavernas, bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. History oozes from every stone. I did not like to see the horses laden with stone carrying to and from the building works, slipping on the steep cobbled streets. There are workers with trolleys and wheel Barrows to carry your luggage if you want but nowhere is that far away, pack very light though. Parking is restricted so drop off your stuff at the gate and go away to park, or get a bus from the town on the mainland. It's not the easiest plave to access but it is worth it.

Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated.
Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated. The hiking trails around the castle and Kalives are often ignored in favor of the castle, which is a crime. The castle is obviously the big attraction here and it's worth it alone. I would suggest staying in Gefira and walking up the castle if you are physically able instead of driving. Skorpios (in Gefira) and Matoula (in the castle) were my favorite places to eat at. By no means should you neglect to try the local wines, especially Malvasia.

It was cool to realize you were staying in something that existed 500 years before you were born, before planes, trains and automobiles... Accomodation was basic, but clean and comfortable. Staying here is about the experience, not the amenities. We really enjoyed our visit. I loved exploring the ruins of the upper town at sunrise. It is a very cool experience.

Unique experience to stay on The Rock!
Unique experience to stay on The Rock! Hike to the upper ruins is a must do, we should have done it upon arrival but waited til the morning of our departure. I would have preferred sleeping in, longer time at wonderful breakfast buffet, and relaxing on our balcony before leaving …. there’s always next time.

Monemvasia was wonderful.
Monemvasia was wonderful. The views were amazing as was the architecture. The Byzantino Hotel was great as were their recommended restaurants. The staff went out of their way to please and to help with directions on driving excursions in the area (Google Maps is out to lunch at times - this was pointed out by staff).
Peaceful place directly on the seaside, without beach, but with a nice swimming pool. Amazing breakfast-moment at pool-bar watching the sea and enjoying the great atmosphere with relaxing music. Parking always available. Optimal location to travel in the peninsula, reach Neapoli and Elafonisos with the new road. 5 minutes by car from a couple very good taverns and 5 minutes to Monemvasia (car is needed, because not nice main road to walk through). I loved the architecture of the hotel.
The house was ideally located within the castle walls. It was clean and beautifully decorated, and our hosts provided us with wine and goodies upon our arrival. There was a wonderful view from the balcony on the third floor. And, the swimming area off the rocks was just a short walk away, as were several dining options. My wife, two sons (ages 23 and 20) and my older sons girlfriend, who joined us, loved Monemvasia and Casa Felicia!

Monemvasia is one of the most stunning places my wife and I have ever been, a mysterious citadel with a long history and astonishing vistas. To stay in the old town is a true privilege. Our room at Ardamis, a medieval stone structure that has been carefully and lovingly turned into a hotel, was a duplex that featured a second-floor terrace with fantastic sea views and a spacious first floor with a raised bed and delightful décor. We loved our stay at Ardamis!
This is a magical hotel! Located in the heart of the Byzantine walled town of Momnenvasia, it offered not only comfortable but exqisitely tasteful modern accomodations in an evocative historical style. Our stay was peaceful, aided by the views of the Aegean and gentle sound of the waves. It included the best hotel breakfast I've ever had in Greece. Lovely and helpful staff. We all hope to return!

Very hospitable staff. Hotel is extremely clean, service is impeccable and the view from the hotel is amazing. You are away from the busy centre and can relax with a beautiful view. Its about a 12 min drive to Monemvasia. Breakfast is plenty and I would highly recommend Anemma Hotel.
Very welcoming and attentive service. Very clean and brealfast, food and drinks were very nice. Nice views and sitting areas. Size of the hotel ment that it was relaxed and not overcrowded. Huge plus is the awesome salt-water pool overlooking the rock of Monemvasia.

Incredible hotel and town ! We really enjoyed our stay , felt very welcomed at the hotel , comfortable and amazed by Monemvasia. You need to leave your car at the entry of the town, and everything makes you feel you are centuries back in time!
Hotel is excellent, location and comfort. We stayed in the Superiror Room on the 2nd Floor with its own balcony overlooking the sea and old Monemvasia. Room was first class, bed was comfy. En-suite is a pod, but fine.
The hotel is perfectly placed in the center of Monemvasia. Directions were provided before our arrival for a smooth journey. Staff were really friendly and provided us with useful information throughout our stay.

Staying in the castle at Monemvasia was truly an experience. It is such a beautiful place and staying in the midst of it was a delight. The rooms were good and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Beautiful, clean, new hotel close to Monemvasia. Great views of the sea from most rooms and common areas. Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Ioulia at front desk.
Location and parking at the hotel (next to the room) instead of on the access road of Monemvasia and hauling the luggage up the road and into the kastro.
