It‘s an unbelievable beautiful place to be. The entrance looks magic, and once you open the door, the garden and pool area just flashes you.
In the very middle of the cute town Melidhoni but still completely hidden.
The main house is very spacious and equiped with everything you need.
There is a small store right next to the villa for the basic needs and an awesome taverna about 50m away. Highlight for our kids was an awesome playground next to the church.

We stayed at Bali Diamond as a couple with another couple of friends, and we all absolutely loved it. It's a small family run hotel, with super friendly helpful staff, especially Eva at reception, and Chrisoula, who created the magnificent daily breakfast banquets. It's very well located for the airports as well as all the points of interest locally.
I recommend this hotel very highly. Immaculately clean, well designed, lovely pools and terraces, with a relaxed yet smart atmosphere.

A quaint village with tavernas and supermarkets. Locals were friendly. Next to Melidoni caves very well worth exploring. Food at the local taverna “Olive and Carob” was fresh produce and well looked after... ice creams delicious 😋 a short drive to the motorway and access to all of Crete

The village of Melidoni is only 400 people but felt like it...
The village of Melidoni is only 400 people but felt like it is much fewer. It is not touristy, very authentic Greek village, full of tragic history, beautiful stone buildings, some half ruined. It had very pleasant, authentic atmosphere. They have 2 restaurants and 2 grocerry stores. Reptilium and Melidoni caves nearby. The village, of course,doesnt offer that many attractions but living in Melidoni village for 2 weeks gave us and the kids much needed relaxation and very unique experiene.
