The Pheasant Hotel, Holt, Norfolk, hotel in Weybourne

Situated in 2 acres of landscaped gardens, this Georgian country house hotel offers bright, airy rooms in a peaceful setting. Fresh local produce is served in the hotel restaurant.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. My wife was particularly fond of the homemade vegan sausages. Diner was also very good. The bar was well stocked and there was a separate lounge area if you wanted some peace and quiet. As birdwatchers, its location served us perfectly as it is within a few minutes drive of Cley marshes. The staff were exceptionally friendly. We hope to go back before the end of the year.

The Two Lifeboats, hotel in Weybourne

Located in Sheringham, The Two Lifeboats is a historic bed and breakfast that provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy water sports facilities and a garden.

Very nice room with sea view. Full tea and coffee making facilities and options. Very friendly and efficient staff on arrival and in restaurant where we ate both nights, and good food. Private, separate entry to accommodation as an option. Although no car parking - that's the compromise for being directly on the sea front and in the centre of town - Morris St Car park is just around the corner £8.50/24hrs and had no problems whilst parking there for two nights.

Weybourne is well placed for access to the sea and coastal path. The steam railway is also only a 20 minute walk away . There is a little coffee shop opposite the Ship Inn selling papers and essentials. There is also a stop for the coastal hopper bus which offers an excellent service (about every 30 minutes when we were there) between Sheringham and Cromer. This is great for walkers.

There is not a great deal in Weybourne - a pub, a shop/cafe and the church and priory ruins. But there is an amazing beach - it's stones but reveals sand at lower tides. The water was clean and clear and although signs warn not to swim, there were lots of people in the water ! The sunset was amazing and this beach is popular but wasn't packed as such and if you walk either way from the car park you will find solitude from the crowd if you wish

It is a quiet village with a beach about 800 yds from it's centre, access to coastal walks and well situated for other towns and villages as well as several impressive estates and stately homes. A small preserved steam railway runs nearby with a station about 1 km from the village centre. It is located in an AONB.

The Ship Inn has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with modern decor throughout. it is spotlessly clean and our room was as good if not better than some 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The breakfasts were cooked to order with plenty of choice on the menu. Evening meals were also of a high standard, which was reflected in the tables being quickly booked up. Many thanks to Linton the owner and chef who welcomed your feedback. Lucy and the rest of the staff were a credit to the Ship Inn. The beach is only 10 mins walk away it is shingle but has miles to explore.

Lovely village, set in walking distance to the sea. Pretty villages all along the coast to visit with great little shops. The food was excellent, wonderful choice for all palettes. My husband had the full English and everything was hit and cooked to perfection and you need a large appetite to finish it! I have to say that they served the best coffee, I have ever had at a pub or hotel. I highly recommend this beautiful pub/b&b. The staff were happy and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us.

Exceptionally good breakfast, cooked to order and properly served. Proper restaurant menu with good quality food and decent portions. Room was clean, modern and comfortable with all facilities. All staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable. The Ship Inn could set an example to many so-called four and five star hotels.
