Everything was simple but lovely, I particularly liked the communal kitchen with complimentary coffee, milk, bread, jam etc for a simple breakfast if that's all you wanted.

It was close to the Cathedral which is why I booked it. I loved the history of the house and grand but homely feel of the place. The breakfast was delicious and I would recommend it especially with the added mushrooms. I had tofu, roast tomatoes, spinach and large field mushrooms on sourdough. You don't have to be a vegetarian to like this!!

Located in the centre of Topsham, just 4 miles from Exeter, The Globe is a beautifully renovated 16th-century coaching inn.

I ate at the hotel both nights, the food was good, reasonably priced and service was great. Staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and close to the river and other pubs.
