Impromptu stopover off on the way home from a weekend away at a family wedding, lovely Sunday lunch, room was clean, basic, comfortable & great value.
The staff that we met were all wonderful, an absolute credit to the wheatsheaf & by extension chef & brewer, they were all so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back to visit this place again..

Everything! - said my daughter. It looked absolutely beautiful on arrival, and there was nothing that spoiled this impression during our stay. The grounds, communal areas, views and the room itself were all gorgeous. Furthermore, the price we paid was an absolute bargain.

Ateugglws to get a table in the restaurant. The food was good but we had to sit near an open door, which was draughty. The bathroom was a bit tired but adequate. The bed was rock hard. I was told the mattress was brand new. Not convinced. Still it was cheap, so you can't expect luxury. We didn't get a good night's sleep due to other patrons deciding to have a conversation outside our room at midnight, and then leaving in the early hours noisily.
