Millim is a quiet small village.
Millim is a quiet small village. Not alot to do there so would have to travel to attractions usually a minimum of half hr drive. It is a quaint little village though with a few lovely walks. Could do it all in a day though.

The beach at Millom was pebble based and not suitable for children. Part of an estuary the sand fed lots of birds so unsuitable for swimming and the sea itself inaccessible when the tide was out. The town was not somewhere to visit for a break or weekend away

The road on the way up to the caravan is full of big pot...
The road on the way up to the caravan is full of big pot holes, the caravan itself is sited in the worse part of the site, no working lights only lamps and battery powered stick up ones in the hallway, broken smoke alarms, we stayed for 3 nights and after we left we got a message asking us to return the sound bar we had stolen, then 20 mins later another message oh sorry we have found the sound bar, and because I was then angry at being accused of theft he then tried to say I damaged his caravan ,moaned about dogs hairs in the caravan even thou they allow pets and don’t provide a Hoover, avoid at all costs, scruffy caravan and rude hosts, have never stayed anywhere as bad as this, many more nicer and cleaner places to stay at the same price, below is a photo of your view from the caravan and the type of caravan we stayed inAAnonymous

Quiet peaceful location a stones throw from the sea front and perfect for exploring the Lake District. Horses in the field at the front of the cottage was beautiful. We recommend a walk up Black Combe the views from the top of the coast and lake district are breath taking. Already planning another stay as there is so many places we still want to visit. Mr T,s home made ice cream on the sea front is a must. Can’t wait to return later this year!!

We only stayed for 2 nights, but thoroughly enjoyed it. 15 minute walk into the town of Millom, with a beautiful coastal walk into Port Haverigg. The views are amazing, and the host was about the friendliest host you could wish to meet. The breakfast was a help yourself, with cereals, croissants, toast, crumpets and a fruit bowl, and we were told we were welcome to any of it any time of day. There's also a microwave and fridge for the guests to use.

We weren't planning on spending much time inside on this trip but ended up spending a lovely sunny afternoon watching a film in the bright living room as the caravan was so nice. Its also in a lovely location with view of the water, and a 2 minute walk to the ski bar (who do great food and drinks) and water sports. This will definitely be our first choice for accommodation the next time we visit Millom/Haverigg.

Very close to the beach, bar /restaurant and the ice cream van. If we return to Millom we will definitely stay there again. The caravan was well equipped and we loved the supplies the owner left for us it was a lovely surprise. The WiFi was as good if not better than what we have at home. Fantastic signal. Thank you for a lovely staycation.

The beds were really comfy, and the flat was well situated as a base for lake district hikes. The apartment is in great condition, and despite being in what looks like a Victorian era building, it has clearly been renovated to excellent modern standards, and stayed nice and warm with the heating on.
