this is such a great place for those of you who like beach walks and sea air. The location is a great base for both the promenade and town as well as travelling further up the coast for more remote and historical areas. One of my favourite places to go.

It is a quiet location seaview and a short walk to beach. Local bus route to blyth and whitleybay through to newcastle. Also a nice long walk to the lighthouse and coast. A few local pubs and a club in the area.

Have a walk round the watch house museum and look at the driftwood sculptures. A stroll along Collywell Bay Road is nice. Head down into the Dene and have a walk up along the river. There is a lot of history of the brick kilns and Seston Delaval Hall is just up the road.
