This is a great little hotel. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. David is very knowledgeable of the area. Leigh made me feel like I was more than just another random guest. The food is fantastic. Really just a great little hotel. If I ever make it back to this side of the world again, definitely staying here again.

Welcomed with a warm smile and good humour. Studio style B&B accommodation with an extra large and very comfortable king-size bed and lovely pillows. Second single bed also in the room.Nice 2 seater sofa, large wall mounted TV with link to Netflix and a small kitchen area with fridge with fresh milk, microwave oven, toaster and kettle with full range of hot drinks. Crockery and cutlery also provided. Delicious farm stay breakfast, plenty to choose from and promptly served. Nice quiet location within the rurality of a working farm.

Delightful little pub, and the room was just what you need -- plus the bonus of an amazing bath tub which gave me just the hot bath I needed after a long day's walk. Excellent choice for walkers on the Wall Path.

Liked Haltwhistle been before , Good Centre for the Roman Wall experience, Would recommend to anybody. Also could leave you car as there is a good bus service in the Town to Newcastle Alston Carlisle and the Roman sites, Good food available in the town also supermarkets. No Post Office or Bank though.

The town is marketed as being the geometric centre of Great Britain. It may well be. It is ideally situated a short drive from Hexham and roughly midway between Carlisle and Newcastle. We only spent one night but it is in a perfect spot for visiting Hadrian's Wall. It is near the best museum- Vindolanda and the best section of the wall (Cawfield Quarry) if you want to get a good taste of the Wall but only have a limited amount of time, like we did.

I was walking Hadrian's Wall so it was great that we had the pub on our doorstep for our evening meal and the property was so close to the Hadrian's Wall path. It was lovely being in such clean air in the heart of Northumberland National park.

The accommodation was excellent. Fantastic place to stay. Hosts were more than helpful. The pub next door served excellent food. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and will be going back there.

Very comfy bed, modern bathroom and the little details really set the accommodation a notch above what you usually get - a mini fridge with fresh milk provided, filter coffee and cafetiere, really sumptuous thick bath towels. The self check in process was well explained and straightforward. We didn't meet the owners but there was plenty of written and emailed communication that made us feel like very welcome guests.

Spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable bed, great customer service - Kirsty my host was brilliant, very friendly and a pleasant character. Other staff I met were great too. The food is locally sourced and a bargain for the price - delicious. There's a Sainsbury's 2 minutes walk away which came in handy for amenities. 10/10!

The owner and staff go the extra mile to make you welcome and even have a FREE shuttle bus to take you back to the wall to continue your walk(Haltwistle is a good 2 miles away and that is a long walk at the end of a 14-16 mile day). Parking was at the rear of the apartment within a two-minute walk. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable and secure. Geographically, Haltwhistle is more or less in a central position by Hadrian's Wall, so all the major sites were within easy travelling distances.
