Chalk Farm LDC is situated in Willingdon in Eastbourne, 28 km from Brighton & Hove. The hotel has a sun terrace and views of the garden, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.

Chalk Farm Hotel was comfortable and very convenient for walking on the South Downs. My room was very large with good quality tea, coffee and biscuits as well as a complimentary bottle of spring water. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was very good. The place has a lot of character and has an interesting George Orwell connection as it is thought that Animal Farm was based on Chalk Farm

Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

Beachfront location. Very close to lots of other amenities. Town centre a short walk away, with a variety of shops and eateries. Train station also nearby. Local bus route runs just behind hotel. But many conveniences located within a short walk. Eastbourne Wheel (seasonal attraction) is right opposite to Lansdowne hotel. Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
