Hotellet ligger veldig fint til utsiktsmessig, med elven Ouse og bro rett overfor. Det var litt traffikk i veikrysset foran, noe skyldtes turgåere til det idylliske området rundt elven, og noe et filmteam sine biler (det pågikk filming i området av TV-serien All Creatures Great and Small). Frokosten var bra, måltidet på restauranten var enkelt men godt.
