We had an awesome stay at La Maison Des Vacances! It was located in the heart of Alsace along the route des vins, just half an hour drive from Colmar and 40mins drive from Strasbourg. We reached a little later than expected but the hosts (Simone & Bernard) were waiting for us. Once we entered the house, we were welcomed by the traditionally, intricately decorated & fully equipped home with super comfy bedrooms, living & dining areas. Every corner of the house was exceptionally beautiful. We had requested for the dinner & breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious yet super delicious and homely. Thanks Simone & Bernard! We will surely come visit you again!

I loved the location. This hotel is hidden paradise of nature and tranquillity. Also the stay was very good value, for its superb quality! A rare gem, really. The staff are efficient and friendly, but never intrusive, which allowed me to relax and feel at home . My room was clean, warm, functional and everything was provided for a homely and very restful stay. And I am so glad that I tried the restaurant. I only wish that I could have stayed longer, but I will definitely return for another weekend . This is definitely the place I had been looking for when my batteries need recharging, and I am so glad that I've finally found it. If you are like me, and read other reviews before booking a hotel stay, then let me assure you that if you are looking for a busy , noisy, city hotel, or "the place to be" , that's not it . If you are , however, looking for a peaceful, quiet and magical escape to nature, you will not be disappointed. I was delightfully surprised!

Breakfast is optional. It was very good, with fresh fruit, perfectly boiled eggs and different home made jams. The bathroom was newly renovated and in perfect shape. The balcony is perfect for evening sun and a glass of wine.
Nothalten as a town was a very positive surprise and the location of the B&B was great. The balcony was great and breakfast down on the terrass was very classical french and nice.
