A great little stop-over hotel, with lovely helpful staff. Liked the quick access off the Northbound motorway and the plentiful parking behind the hotel. The hotel is located within a service station area so there are a number of restaurants (McD, Starbucks etc) a couple of minutes walk from the hotel (note - Google maps is incorrect with location of these restaurants- they are both in the building that straddles the motorway). Family room is a good size, with two separate areas.

Whilst the location of this hotel is very handy with it...
Whilst the location of this hotel is very handy with it being just on the motorway. The condition of the place was appalling. On first sight it looks scruffy, only half the signage worked and it looks like it needs a good coat of paint. The rooms are super basic, which would be fine if they were clean which they weren't. We ended up having to pay for this hotel but we didn't stay as it would have spoiled our holiday.

Excellent location off the motorway and very convenient for trip south to the coast. Bed comfortable and quiet night. Nice restaurants in Macon but had a drink in bar after. The apartment was ok, just the smell of sewage is really bad, the entrance door, key area & steps up to the apartments is that bad, you think your going into a ghetto Macon, I took my wife to the 360 Hotel roof terrace for tge sunset & views over Macon, fortunately it brightened up from the earlier rain.. but the service was a little slow, & trying to pay was taking so long a queue developed of about 12 people.. problem was... 1 person using the only tablet to pay the bill.. nice place though, unlike the open air parking by the river, as my wife & I were too busy looking through the trees to find a space to park my American pick up truck, we then walked off to the apartment away from the entrance, only returning at 08.00 to find a full size market in the car park, & my truck gone... a local helped & showed me the signs at the entrance, No Parking between 00.00 - 12.00.. went to local police station & waited until 09.00, when they opened, they apologised but its my fault, €15 taxi to the compound, & €126 release fee, we left lost 3 hrs.. then caught heavy traffic to & around Lyon... so use tge underground parking

Mâcon is an up and coming town with warm and welcoming people, interesting walks, lovely river side promenades and seemingly a wide variety of good restaurants. We particularly like discovering the little shops dotted all around the central old down. Great city, One to visit again.

Local wine from Maconsise (the region). Rate themselves second to other regions. I challenge you to agree. Take a trip to Cluny. The mountains make a dive for the river in a beautiful green carpet of vineyards. Go see for yourself.
