Don't go to the Au Bon Vieux Temps restaurant - surly and slow service and they allow people to smoke among diners on the terrace. They only accept cash (yes, I'm not kidding). The only saving grace is that the manager isn't French, nor did he understand the colloquial French I used when telling him what a pit his place was.
A lovely gite with a very friendly and helpful owner living on site. Temperatures were in early 30s but with a gentle breeze very comfortable and of course the pool helped. A short walk to the lovely Barjac where there plenty of places to eat out or to enjoy a drink. Supermarket about 400m away. Good base to explore the area. Plenty of gentle walks well signposted from Barjac village
This hotel does something that others don’t and it is worth a visit. The couple that runs the hotel is kind and helpful. Their concept of the tents makes for unforgettable stays that are recommended for the adventurous. Comfortable and rainproof they stand free in a beautiful garden. I was here as a bike Traveller and was welcomed - a tools shack secured my bike over night.
Price quality is excellent. I was here during the brocante of august. So a very busy time in Barjac. The house is in the village centre in a very pretty little alley. There are shops and bars around it but nothing that disturbed my sleep. It was really hot when I was there but the ventilator in the apartment did the trick. Thanks for a great stay.
Nice location. friendly staff, who speaks good english. (I miss the dog from last year) Very nice breakfast, with homemade jams and cakes. Very peaceful and secluded. Nice outdoor area around. For those who enjoy walking it's a nice 40 minute walk to Barjac (8 minutes drive)
Fabulous location in the former priory, just at the edge of the historic centre of Barjac.

Rooms all a good size, nice high ceilings.
Outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace.

An excellent warm welcome from the host and a lovely breakfast. What more do you want?
Beautiful, small and quiet place with a great atmosphere. Loved the pool and the kitchen facilities. Close to Barjac and in appropriate (15 min by car) distance to Vallon..
