Tarragona is located on the sunny ‘Costa Daurada‘, in southern Catalonia. With an inheritance dating back to local tribes, Carthaginians and Romans, it is today a vibrant cultural and economic centre. Don’t miss the ‘human towers’ during Tarragona’s Santa Tecla Festival, but check your hotel availability for the area with enough time in advance.

The 12th-century Cathedral of St Mary was built on the site of a former Jupiter temple and a Muslim mosque, and mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.
