The hotel is in a very small Spanish town. We were able to drive up to the hotel, take our luggage out of the car, and then go back to the entrance of the town and park in the parking lot (free) overnight. From the parking lot it is about a three minute walk to the hotel.
The best thing about the hotel was that their kitchen opened for dinner (at 8:15 pm). We tried a few other places in town (online said they were open) but they were not open. We had lamb and it was great. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds fine, head pillows hard. Breakfast was basic (and cost $7 per person); pastries, juice, coffee, yogurt, toast.
Great place to stay, would recommend!

Great location in a beautiful small town.
A very good place from which to explore the surrounding area. Great walking and cycling routes all around.
Lovely friendly people running the hotel and apartments.
The hotel restaurant serves very good food at a reasonable price.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.
We paid for a parking space in the garage. The spaces are a good size and you are allocated one in particular for the length of your stay. They have put padding on the walls to enable car doors to be opened easily. Worth paying for as on street parking limited in narrow streets.
The pool is very nice, not heated but warm enough in September when we visited.

Excellent service from the hosts of the place and easy to reach and park. It was well taken care of and the optional breakfast was well worth the price it costs.

This is a very small town dominated by the monastery.
It is a lovely town with old buildings and narrow streets which are lovely to wander around.
We visited in the middle of September and at no time did it seem very busy.
We visited the monastery . It has lovely cloisters and some interesting artefacts.
There are some great walks locally and the roads are super for cycling, being in good condition without much traffic.
el desfiladero La Yecla , with it's resident vultures, is worth a visit. We walked there from the town but if you want to visit in a car it has a large car park.
There is a lot of publicity given to the Sad Hill Cemetery and you can walk or drive there from the town. Be warned that the road is mainly loose gravel and much of it passes through an area where a fire destroyed the trees in 2022. We walked to the Mirador, which has great views ,but didn't get to the cemetery itself.
The roman ruins at Clunia are well worth a visit as is the beautiful small town of Covarrubias.

A lovely old village centred around the monastery where in the evening it's possible to visit free to hear the monks partake in Gregorian chants, etc. Nice area for a stroll up the hill above the monastery where the views over the village are stunning.
Although the hotel restaurant is very good there is also a choice of several other restaurants and bars within the immediate area of the hotel.

Little place but loads to do locally.
Little place but loads to do locally. Film locations for the Good, the bad & the Ugly are popular. Services at the local Monastery are given in Gregorian chant and different every day, Truly amazing. Great bird watching as there's a big colony of vultures just South.

The town captures the feel of 'old' Spain, with its narrow streets, cobblestone paving, old churches and other well-preserved structures. Dinner at the hotel (Tres Coronas) was excellent.
If you are a fan of Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns, then book a hotel here, and drive the 5 km to Sad Hill Cemetery, scene of the final duel in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Fantastic location, superb building (17th C, I think), comfy room with a view on the square, lovely village with superb visits to make (the roman cloister being a must of course, but there are many other things). The hotel is full of charm and atmosphere, old-style (which to me is great). Service is good, people are pleasant and attentionate. Dinner is very good (special mention for the suckling lamb) and so is breakfast. In short, a great stay and experience and I will return, I am sure.
Property is set in the heart of Santo Domingo de silos and has a real feel of Spain, it looks very modern and clean, underground parking was spacious, only several hundred yards away was several restaurants and bars, it’s a quiet little place but full of character, I didn’t go in the monastery but it looks super, there is a cash machine opposite monastery too, staff and locals were very friendly even though there was a language barrier
This place is absolutely stunning. It was clearly designed by people with excellent taste and some fine interior decorators. We were amazed to find such a wonderfully appointed hotel at the price we paid. And the staff could not have been more helpful, even going so far as to leave the hotel to guide me to the parking facility.
Dreadful. I don't think anything has changed since 2000. I think the curtains and linen are original. Bathroom was so dated. Shower head was a mismatch to bracket. No control water. Needed running for 10 mins to heat up. Shower screen was rubbish. If you are here to visit Sad Hill Cemetery please stay at another hotel. Trust me.
The hotel has confortable, largeer than most hotels rooms, and it's clean.
We were by car and we could park for free in front of the Hospital, at the staff suggestion.
Despite being near hospital it is very quite and all was ok.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
Great value apartment - we were upgraded to a one-bedroom (from a studio) at no extra cost. It was exactly what we'd hoped for. We have stayed at the hotel several times in the past but it was nice to have the independence of our own apartment.
The hotel was beautiful and it was in a central spot in the village. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the very pretty dining room. Breakfast included yogurt, eggs and fresh fruit. This area has wonderful walking nearby.
Lovely hotel, great staff. Good food, breakfast was very good and evening meal too.Central location and plenty to do. Bars etc and also church monastery music which was exceptional. Lovely stay.
Lovely hotel full of character, very clean. Private parking to the rear. Staff friendly.
Good base to visit Sad hill cemetery, the dirt road is fine for road motorcycles just take it steady.
Location is perfect if visiting the abby of Santo Domingo de Silos: Tres Coronas is just across the street. Staff is friendly and solicitous and the hotel itself is charming--a boutique feel.
Been before but returned to visit Sad Hill. Charming little hotel in a picturesque village. Friendly helpful staff and a decent meal was had in their restaurant.
