Is a small town, with only a few services, but enough for a weekend. You need to be in good shape if you are walking from the main town square to the top (where the the old church is placed) Gastronomy is very nice and has a good quality/price ratio. Public transport is not a good point, so you can hire a rent car, a taxi or have luck with the public bus (going to Cadiz, Jerez or other main cities, but the timetable is quite short)JoaquimFrance - 6.0Scored 6.0

Historic centre with ancient church. Good base for travelling around the area if you don't fancy staying in Jerez. Local public transport to Medina Sidonia limited. 45 minutes by car to Jerez airport.

Beautiful small traditional city, well looked after.
Beautiful small traditional city, well looked after. Good restaurants and friendly people. Ethnographical Museum has excellent presentation with interesting collection of agricultural implements and various areas of life from shoemakers to education (all Spanish). I hear the Archaeology Museum is excellent but unfortunately we went during the Feria and they changed all the hours and was closed.Lyn in CadizSpain

We had no idea about this village; Medina Sidonia but we were very happy to discover this beautiful & unique place. The hotel is clean and confortable, well located as there are parking place not far and the centre of town is only 3,4 minutes on foot. Special thanks to Sandra who assist us giving maximum information on our arrival.
