I WAS UNABLE TO ACCESS THE HOTEL. THE SWIPE CARD KEY WAS LEFT IN A LOCK BOX OUTSIDE, BUT THE LIGHT WAS POOR AND I THINK THE CODE WAS WRONG.

We stayed one night only on our way to Comillas. The hotel is quiet and secluded, with nice view (if you are given a room at the right side). It's far from the town center, you need your own wheels (like we had). The room and the private bathroom were quite good and clean, all amenities working. The host an exquisite person, lovely and amiable person, easy communication (little English spoken).

By far the best albergue I have stayed on Camino del Norte. Comfortable bed and bedding - the most important factor for me. I got the top bunk, which is not preferred in most cases but I loved it here. It's like your own room. The bed is so steady that you can flip around as much without worrying about the neighbour. I really appreciated there was heating as well.
