We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and cleanliness and beautiful personal details and decoration- more like a private home...The breakfast room was cozy and the staff very kind and helpful. This hotel is located in Cantalejo, a small, sleepy town on the plains north of Segovia. The hotel is basic but very comfortable, and excellent value for money. The view from our room of the town's church was lovely. I don't think the hotel had a restaurant, but there was a little bar serving good coffee, and the owner was super friendly and gave us a map of the town and its amenities when we arrived. If you are in the area for the birdwatching, this is an ideal base.
