Kirchhundem is very silent.
Kirchhundem is very silent. There are almost no cafe's or restaurants. The few we saw were all closed. "ruhe tag" One, the Alpenhouse, had a refrigerator outside and a tiny box for money so we had a drink but no interaction with staff. The terrace offered a wonderful view of the surroundings. As our hotel Gut Ahe had a very nice kitchen it was not a real problem that there were no other facilities to have a drink or a meal but if you like to eat at different places while on holiday then Kirchhundem is not te place to be. But if you like to walk hours through beautiful woodlands and hilly countrysides then you will love it there.AAnonymousNetherlands - 8.0Scored 8.0
It is just another village on the road, but nearby cities...
It is just another village on the road, but nearby cities are cute and cycling opportunities are around every hill. In summer you'll get exactly what you're expecting from this area: quiet and peaceful retreat in the nature. Beware of speed radars. They're hard to notice and located in the spots you'd most likely want put the pedal down. Stick to the limit, especially in cities.DmitryNetherlands
