Tongeren is a very clean village.
Tongeren is a very clean village. The people are always very kind and courteous. We enjoy eating at the different restaurants. They have a gelato shop with plenty flavors. If you want a great selection of wines, then Vinotel is the place for you! The Grand Place is quant with a beautiful Cathedral. Most things are within walking distance. The shops are well decorated and inviting. You’ll find plenty of Antique stores too.GloradeanGermany - 10Scored 10

If you are interested in Antiques - you really should visit the weekly Antiques Market: It is quite good, with a huge number of vendors and surprisingly reasonable prices. For us, it was worth the trip.

Rustic old town with the roman city walls, gallo-roman museum.. which for me was the highlight. I learnt a lot about human civilization and origin of European history & thought. Loved the food culture and I would highly recommend 'De Infirmerie'. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Tongeren!
