Rochefort is an interesting place, but hard work if you don't have a car.
We found it difficult to understand the bus system ...
The train station is several kilometres away from Rochefort & you need to catch a bus from there to the city. There are a number of bus routes that go to & from Rochefort, and you need to work out which one to catch, where to board it, and where to alight. We had to cross reference information on the bus stops with data on the bus company website and ask the tourist information centre before we could be certain. Oh, and it appears you also need the exact fare in cash - the drivers apparently don't do change. And when you leave Rochefort, the bus doesn't actually stop at the train station - thankfully our bus driver let us know when to get off.
On the positive side, lots of wonderful restaurants & cafes, and lots of interesting things to do and see. And great local beers & pastries.

Safe, clean town, very friendly people, everything you need is here . Good restaurants, bars and in a great location in the Ardennes for our motorcycle trip. The SAN Marino grill is a great place to eat with welcoming staff also
My hosts went above and beyond in providing the best ever service and comfort I have ever come across in my travelling days in all areas and aspects! An experience I will cherish forever, from
the breakfast quality to the exceptional beautiful well appointed immaculate designed interiors absolutely shining in cleanliness. I wish Rochefort was closer to Sydney Australia but I will try one day soon to return to that part of their beautiful world! Thank you Vicky and Gent for putting your heart and soul into nourishing your guests heart 💛
Really nice stylish hotel with an interesting layout of the rooms, nicely equipped and situated in an convenient place. Big quiet rooms facing the garden. Nice swimming pool and sauna - a great place to relax after a day of walking. Helpful and friendly staff. Good coffee machine available all the time. A private parking place, which is a big plus in a city. And we especially enjoyed breakfasts with great choice of foods, including a variety of fruits.
The location was great, close to the Geopark centre and Caves of Lorette, and ideal for walking over to Han sur Lesse, although we found the steep hill coming up from Rochefort a bit daunting when we first arrived (on foot) with heavy packs! The accommodation was spacious and it was nice to be able to eat outside when the weather was fine. We enjoyed the views of the garden birdlife and occasional red squirrel.
The hotel is in a renovated country hunting house. In a beatifull area near the river. A beautiful indoor pool with surounding windows you can see the nature all around.
Room was lovely although small. Bed was large and very comfortable. Toiletary of caudalie excellent. The receptionist was very nice. Took us to the wine cellar ( loveley) he explained us about the history and the wines they have.
Large apartment in a quiet location near Rochefort; friendly manager who lives below the apartment and is always accessible (French only); comfortable bed and pillows; roof window right above the bed for fresh air; WiFi worked great; easy to create a good air flow downstairs with open door/windows; very good kitchen; terrace with furniture; on site parking right in front.
Rochefort was a great location, with a lot of things in walking distance. I stayed in this hotel to visit the Caves of Han, which were closeby as well (less than 15 minute drive). The room was clean and has a nice aesthetic with a lot of space. There was even a fridge to cool drinks in. Good internet. I really had nothing to complain about.
The place was really amazing! A beautifully renovated barn, very vibrant and charming. We had everything we needed to have a wonderful time. I highly recommend it! The location was great too, not far from Rochefort and the cute little town of Eprave with a nice brewery. It was great, thank you so much for making this place available :)
Cozy and charming b&b, very nicely located in Rochefort. Vichy is an awesome host and made us very comfortable. Bed is comfortable, shower and bath very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was remarkable, with dozes of bread options, fresh fruit, eggs and homemade pain purdue. We would definitely come back for another visit!
A very warm welcom by Edgar and Rufina. A lovely couple who did their utmost to make our stay comfortable.
The fireplace was burning and we were welcomed with coffee and homemade soup.
The location was a short drive to Rochefort which has many nice restaurants. The house has a nice homy athmosphere and a beautiful garden.
Very nice owners, taking well care of me and showing me around. They were very very helpful and gentle. Everything was perfectly clean and in order. The environment is great and the apartment would fit a small family. Just a pity I only discovered that they had Rochefort beer available, once I packed the next day :-).
Daniel is a great host; the room was wonderful and spacious as well as the bathroom, all was comfortable and clean; breakfast was really good. It's not far from Rochefort's centre, which is reachable by a 10-minutes walk through a nice landscape. Totally recommend
Idyllic family run hotel in the Belgian countryside.
Very nice, kind and helpful staff.😁
We got a very comfortable room with a beautiful view.
Glorious breakfast with delicious Belgian cheeses and home made strawberry cake.
Definitely the place to be 😁😁
Very cosy and charming hotel and at the same time the rooms have been refurbished with a/o spotless bathrooms. Great breakfast as well. Friendly and discrete owner. We had a family room with 2 large beds so kids could sleep with us. Good value for money.
The place is amazing and well located. It is charming and clean! Everything in the hotel is tastefully decorated. It is a quiet and relaxing place close to many restaurants. Really a little jewel to discover!
