Cockatoo Cabin, hotel in Palmwoods

Offering mountain views, Cockatoo Cabin is an accommodation set in Palmwoods, 22 km from SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium and 24 km from Australia Zoo.

I liked the disconnection from city life, but still close enough to go places. But honestly didn’t need to go anywhere while staying there. Definitely stay a few extra nights next time.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The room was a great size. Bed large and comfortable. Aircon was cold. Great bathroom & showers. Spa was beautiful on the balcony. The shutters blocked out the morning sun allowing us a great sleep in. We will definitely be back.

Montville Holiday Apartments, hotel in Palmwoods

Set within 27 km of Aussie World and 31 km of SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium in Montville, Montville Holiday Apartments offers accommodation with seating area.

Location was beautiful, even on a cloudy and rainy day it looked amazing. Blu ray player with basket of random movies turned a busy day into a relaxing night quite nicely. Had some troubles with some room stuff but after contacting staff they were resolved quite quickly and politely.

Buderim Fiesta Motel, hotel in Palmwoods

Enjoy free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool and free BBQ facilities at Buderim Fiesta Motel.

Pretty bad wifi in room 7. Wasn’t able to connect in the room and tv was unable to be watched because of continual static. Other than that; easy check in and out. Clean. Tidy.

Palmwoods is a cute little town in the Sunshine Coast...

Palmwoods is a cute little town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It is a short scenic drive to Montville and Maleny, and an easy drive to Maroochydore and other coastal spots. Local eating places of note are Piggyback (Asian fusion - delicious!), Ric's Garage (burgers and shakes, American diner style - fun!), The Shed (coffee, cakes, new & 2nd hand interiors/furniture) and Chew Chew Bistro (licensed bistro, local produce). Plus a quality fish & chippery, and good bakery. Lots of places to explore and try.

This is about halfway between where I live and Yandina/Noosa where my family are, so we decided to meet at Rick's Garage on Sunday for lunch and then on Monday to Piggy-back Restaurant on Monday to celebrate my birthday. Hence my stay at Winston Cottage. Here a big thankyou to Owen at Palmwoods Pharmacy for helping me out with my forgotten blood pressure medication. You were a lifesaver.

We have stayed a number of times in the sunshine coast...

We have stayed a number of times in the sunshine coast hinterland, but this was the first time at Palmwoods. We would stay there again as it was good value for money, provided easy access for where we wished to go and had a number of eating options within a short drive. Having a meal at Rick's Garage was a good tip - it was easy to see why it was so popular.
