Nannup is a little gem of a town with some interesting arty, eclectic shops. Has a lovely little brewery that does nice food and also the historical hotel (though check the opening hours for both). Walk trails through the State Forest and the lovely natural freshwater Barrabup Pool for swimming if weather permits. Close to other towns and attractions in the Blackwood Valley if you wish to do some day trips. A great base!

Grocery store really had limited supplies for Travellers. The Pub does not open until 3pm, we were told this is the winter hours, but we traveled in autumn. The bakery is good, lots of little cafes, but we did not try these. Neat and tidy town, with a bottle shop and a service station or two?

In addition to the lovely home, there is a terrific park right opposite with a lovely picnic shelter and heaps of play equipment. The supermarket is closed Sundays but the home is well-supplied, and the service station sells a few grocery and personal items. Nice little town.

Nannup is a perfect little town nestled in the WA countryside. Surrounded by green fields, farm land and twisty roads. We had a Christmas in July Dinner at the Nannup brewery which was perfect and festive.

Nannup is a small country town it has Petrol station, Pub, a few small shops, Roads are windy and kangaroos are about in the mornings and at sundown so drive safe. The places to visit are a drive but great to see and do bush walking, waterfalls, tree climbing for a challenge.

Stunning scenery, the gardens are beautiful, loved the sculptures. Right in town however you would never know due to the acreage of the property. Fabulous country charm, facilitates and Louise is lovely. Comfortable bed, ensuite and breakfast is a bonus. However we were so relaxed and comfortable we missed our first breakfast ! Big bonus, we commented on how lovely one of the plants in the garden was, Louise potted some up for us to take home. Nannup memories right there.

We traveled to Nannup for 5 days and have just returned. Nannup is one of our favourite towns to stay and The Black Cockatoo ticks all the boxes for us. 5 minute walk to the main centre but retains its quiet and peaceful atmosphere. With lovely gardens and trees, unique accommodation, it is a lovely break away from the city. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Black Cockatoo and will be hoping to return. Thank you Sue and Derek.

Riverwood Retreat is set amongst beautiful bushland with kangaroos and emus grazing. Our room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with a huge bath, shower and double sinks. Breakfast table was wonderful with plenty of choice. We walked through a bush track to Nannup over an old restored bridge (approx 20min slow walk). We just loved it.

GREAT location to get away and be in nature. Beautiful area and close to Nannup and other small towns. Cabins are comfy and neat and had enough firewood for our stay. Wine and snacks available and the jacuzzi spa on the deck was warm and ready for us on check in. Amazing deck with comfy furniture inside and out.

The Blackcocatoo lodge is a small group of cottages five minutes walk from Shopping area. This very quiet area allows parking at front to access cottages, glad I bought a trolly to get baggage in place. (most things are supplied and kitchen sink not required. Will book again.

The spa was good, and the location with the birdlife and sheep. Fireplace; provided, although we did not use it. Plenty of wood available for this. Totally private cabin could not see the Neighbour's from the back deck while in the spa. This lived up to expectation.

Great set up, outside and inside with plenty of spaces to relax. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were super flexible and relaxed. The gardens were lovely, including the resident bandicoot and possum! Being so close to the brewery and town was great.
