Our own little cabin in the woods! Cosy, warm, comfortable! Woodsmoke Cabin- loved the warm fire and hot bath after exploring Cradle Mountain!
A small but very well equipped kitchen. We came with groceries and plug in hot plates and microwave ( saucepans, frypan, crockery, cutlery, toaster , kettle , small fridge and even wine glasses! There was also an air fryer- though we didn’t use it)
A quick walk to Visitor centre and shuttle bus!

Hospitality of the hosts Jason and Michelle was excellent, complimentary breakfast of cereals, fresh bread and eggs is a lovely and generous addition to our stay. Well worth the stay overnight with close proximity to cradle mountain.
The bed was very comfortable only problem was getting to it.
The bed was very comfortable only problem was getting to it. We are both a bit old to climb the ladder up to the bed. If we where younger
It would not have been a problem. Loved where it was and thought it was brilliant what had been done in such a small place. Would recommend if climbing a steep few stairs is easy for you. It was spotless and had everything we needed.

Beautiful setting and the room was lovely.
Beautiful setting and the room was lovely.
We had Pademelon roaming right under our cabin and our resident Kookaburra in the tree.
Very remote but we knew that which made for the great experience of being in the wilderness.
Close proximity to get to the National Park without the huge expense of other accommodation options. It is remote so eating options weren't there but we were informed of this and took our own supplies picked up along the way.
No wifi but again no issue as we knew this.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We didn't see much of Moina, to be honest, as we spent all our time at the National Park walking. It was a good area, though, as it was as close as we could find to Cradle Mountain accommodation and it was a very decent space.
We loved the personal car parking space right beside our cabin and the deck with its small table and two chairs. The garden wasn't actually forest immediately in front of the cabin but there were many gums not far distant and it was green and quiet around the cottage. We did see a padelemon after dusk.
The room was well equipped (better instructions re microwave and heater would be helpful, though) and the shower was good. Nice crockery but larger mugs would surely be appreciated. Not many accommodations seem to offer good mug sizes anymore.
Overall we found it comfortable and very pleasant and we'd stay again if ever we are back in that area.

Cradle Forest Inn, what an magical place to stay.
Cradle Forest Inn, what an magical place to stay.
From the driveway to the door we knew we were about experience something special. Say goodbye to NO internet and hello to resetting the clock.
A touch of old world charm meets rustic cabin lends itself to a romantic, cosy place to snuggle with your lover whilst sipping on a hot cup of soup to warm you from the brisk winter's temperature.
Sit back and watch a movie on SBS or marvel at the Pademelon, Wallabies and Currawongs that give into there curiosities of the humans behind the glass door as they venture onto the timber deck's.
So bring your playful and positive attitude, be young and in love again as you snuggle in bed, as you talk about the wonderful life you've shared.
Eat, sleep repeat.
Thank you for the privilege of staying in Dragonfly.

Short distance drive to Cradle Mountain.
Short distance drive to Cradle Mountain. Not much to do around, but I guess that's the good thing about this location: it forces you to rest your mind and enjoy nature. If driving before sunrise or after sunset, be really careful and slow, there are so many animals crossing the road.

Close enough to Cradle Mountain to make it a realistic...
Close enough to Cradle Mountain to make it a realistic choice for those that want to avoid the crowds.
Stock up on food/supplies in Sheffield (or arrive fully equipped) because the good/bad news is there are no facilities at Moina.
A little over 20 minutes to the Cradle Mountain Visitors' Centre in the daytime, but the nighttime drive from the Cradle Mountain Hotel restaurant to Moina took about 30 minutes ... giving us time to count 5 wombats, 1 devil, 1 brushtail, and 73 pademelons & Bennett's wallabies.
The interior of the wooden cabins were really good. Al a carte menu for dinner had variety with healthy choices. Breakfast which was included in the price was very good. Facilities inside as good as top star hotel. Maintaining such an excellent facility so deep into the woods is extraordinary. Though there were choices for bush walking, did not venture out as it was a bit late in the evening. Got a glimpse of some little friends (wild life) though within the property.
An incredible location and stay! A beautiful location and beautiful tiny location to stay in. We had booked for one night but had wished we stayed for 2. The quiet nature and wildlife with incredible views really makes for a unique and enjoyable stay compared to hotels. We have already shared this with our friends and family as a must stay location! A full size bathroom and full equipped kitchen with everything you need to have a romantic dinner in.
Cradle Mountain and resort restaurants are only a 15 minute drive away.
Wombat Cabin is rustic, remote, quiet, but with electricity and hot water! Extra breakfast groceries provided gave us more eating flexibility - much appreciated. Great wood stove heats up the whole place.
On our Tassie trip, the big hotels we stayed at were fine, but Wombat Cabin was the most memorable, positive experience.
Great cabin 20mins from Cradle Mountain, so perfect for a more affordable option while still close to the National Park.
Comfy bed and awesome heater.
As there was only a microwave for cooking we ate before we came back in the evening so arrived in the dark both nights. Would be a great spot to spend some time relaxing in nature.
This is a wonderful hotel. The room was warm and inviting, especially on a cold day. The fireplace added comfort and warmth. Meals were excellent; the atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful and there was a good range of meals available. Staff were very helpful and the activities provided added to the stay.
We chose Forest Cradle Cabins in Moina due to its location. About 20 minutes to Tasmazia and 30 minutes drive to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre. Our Cabin was spacious well presented clean and tidy with bush views. A cafe has just open at the intersection before entry drive to cabins.
This property is unique and is located in a rainforest in a valley with a hand made log lodge, and cabins, and beautiful scenery around the property. Very peaceful and tranquil and not too far to Cradle Mountain. The cabin has a kitchenette and a gas log fire making it cosy on cold nights.
Our Tiny Escape was stunning! For such a small home, it was very well appointed. The views were amazing and we were even greeted by a native pademelon upon arrival. Proximity to Cradle Mountain was great and allowed us to maximise our time in the park. Highly recommend!
The grounds are beautiful with lots of birds. The bed was comfortable. The hot shower with plenty of pressure was appreciated.its also a short drive to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Center. This accommodation is in a quiet area and a new cafe/takeaway has opened nearby.
It is a beautiful chalet in a very quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful pinewood walls inside, very tastefully decorated, beautiful hot shower. It is about 25 minutes away from Cradle Mountain, but with our own transport it was no problem at all.
Our Cabin was very well appointed with all we needed as well as some extra homely touches. Very comfortable bed and lovely environs.
A great location for our time at Cradle Mountain National Park.
The locality is great - away from mainstream vacation venues. The view is awesome and it is quiet/peaceful. The cabin is a self-contained 5 star hotel room with modern amenities.
Everything! The house is amazing (photos don't do it justice), every little thing has been thought about. Lots of wildlife and very close to cradle mountain for lovely hikes.
