Smiths Beach Resort, hotel in Metricup

Experience a beachside escape at Smiths Beach Resort and relax in spacious, stylish accommodation, situated in the heart of Western Australia’s Margaret River Region.

- lovely pool area with absolutely beautiful gardens all throughout the resort, so gorgeous to look at when swimming. - nice pool temperature, consistent throughout our stay, not too hot or cold just right - very friendly helpful front staff (Katie gave great info about the area/maps and is an asset to this place) - lux linen, powerful warm shower, gorgeous shampoo and conditioner [looking up brand to buy it!] - fantastic for families, the 2 bedroom shack had BBQ, well equipped kitchen for cooking meals with both stove top and oven, large fridge and freezer, washing machine and drier combo if staying for extended period, coffee with plunger provided was a very nice added bonus [rather than just b rate instant], salt/pepper and tea/sugar and large carton of fresh milk also. Please note, you need to bring olive oil if cooking as this is not provided. This isn't a negative or positive as it depends on reason for travel. I would say for couples traveling without kids, one needs to be mindful this is a family friendly resort. When we havent travelled with kids we have taken this into consideration and at times stayed at adult only resorts. I would consider this if looking at paying for the more expensive rooms/for a special romantic trip where you are forking out more than you normally would. If the more luxe rooms are well within usual budget then maybe it wouldn't bother you so much to have kids around the pool when travelling solo or as a couple only? That being said, if travelling as a couple only or solo and looking at the fairly priced [for the area] beach shacks, the family friendlynss of the resort wouldn't have bothered us, and we would stay again without kids if going to the area if booking beach shack room. I hope that makes sense! Great wine/antipasto supply deli on site [note only available after 4pm] for ice creams, salamis, frozen meals.

If you are looking for a quiet back to nature place, this is it. Not too far from Margaret River, Busselton, Yallingup or even the City. A wonderful winter get a way. Lots of little beaches not too far away either

Metricup is a great location to explore the region.

Metricup is a great location to explore the region. It is very handy to many cafes, wineries and there are several more family oriented options available now to years gone by. You really do need a vehicle to explore unless you are happy to be shuffled about on tours. There are many great day time food options, but evenings are really geared to the more high end of the market. Generally, I find most of the area very friendly and well disposed to travellers. The wineries and retailers generally

A spacious, lovely home with views on a gorgeous rural property. Check-in and out was easy. A visit from the horse and cows was lovely. Very comfortable beds. We will definitely recommend this to our friends.

Metricup is great location, only takes 20 mins to each Bussulton, Dunsbrough, and Margaret River. Our best friends live at Vasse, only took 10 mins to their place, and Vasse shopping centre as well. We went to Coles at Vasse shopping centre to buy something for picnic, then drove to Blackhurst Park at Dunsbrough where is best place for swimming, surfing, jetski, snorkeling, and a playground too.

Superb venue right in the middle of great wineries, close to the beaches, and great restaurants. Staying on a winery in a lovely house/home, with a quiet lovely setting. The kids ran around and played and the adults relaxed, ate and drank wine. It was perfect

Beautiful location adjacent to the forest and wineries. There were plenty of walk trails accessible from the property straight into the national park. Many local restaurants and cafes within a few kms. Would definitely stay again.

The room was so clean & smelled fresh as soon as we opened the door. Fresh roses in a vase was a lovely touch. As soon as we arrived we got a friendly welcome from John. The location was perfect as we were going to a wedding along Metricup Road. I loved that the rooms were down a long driveway so absolutely no traffic noise just the sounds of nature. Although we went out for breakfast each morning there was a delish looking continental with bread, yoghurt & meulsli..
