Staff were welcoming and informative, room was clean, well laid out - a small room with a bed, chair and hanging area plus cosy heater for chilly nights and a fan for summer. Tall ceilings, thick walls, so even with exuberant fellow guests my room was quiet and snug. Shared bathrooms are really nice: modern, clean and well equipped with separate shower rooms and good mirrors. They offered free parking, particularly helpful on a busy Mansfield weekend. The whole pub including accommodation has free guest wifi - really appreciated that!

Mansfield is a beautiful country town within easy reach of Melbourne. The town itself has everything you need with an array of shops and dining options. The countryside surrounding Mansfield is beautiful and scenic. There is lots to explore from Mansfield and most accommodation places will happily head you in the right suggestion. We keep going back! Mansfield is a fantastic community with a vibrant vibe.
Mansfield is a fantastic community with a vibrant vibe. The locals are ready to assist, advise, and help with navigation. It has been an outstanding pleasure conversing with a few—they smile, take the time to talk to strangers, and answer questions about the quirky things visitors notice. Best dining ever: The Mansfield Hotel. They had to renovate the whole building after the more than one-hundred-year-old European tree collapsed in their beer garden. The outcome is benchmarking. But wait—the food was a five-star Michelin without making a fuzz about it. The price was very fair. If I had stayed longer, I would have dined there every night! Next, I visited the quirky cafe with the Yellow Umbrellas, not far from the Mansfield Hotel. The breakfast they served exceeded my expectations, and I took the time to return. I loved sitting on the tables outside. I pedalled it off on the Great Victorian Rail Trail- it's a rocker of a landscape, transversing through Bonnie Doon from Mansfield with a very soft gradient so that one can clock up miles and tick off another 100 without even noticing. I stayed at the Mansfield Valley Motor Inn- and they were amazing, too. In walking distance to my favourite eating-out experiences to refuel, I got a room upgrade for free to optimise my stay. I will surely come back! A special thanks to all those friendly locals. You guys are amazing.

The accommodation was very comfortable with everything including breakfast available, fully stocked tea selection, hot chocolate and coffee machine. Great town with all facilities you could ask for. We enjoyed pottering about and visiting some of the small towns around and about. Highlight was our visit to the Snobs Creek Falls. We ate at Jamieson Brewery and Bar

Mansfield is a beautiful town. Close to mount buller and lake eildon. Plenty of activities, cafes and restaurants. Great to drive around and look at the scenery, great for camping and hiking, skiing, mountain bike riding, motorbike riding.

It was never going to be a luxurious stay but was sparsely comfortable, very clean and everything you needed for the night was provided for you. I was well aware the toilet and showers were communal and that was in line with the price.
