The property was lovely but it was mainly the guy who owned it from across the road who I found to be exceptionally lovely and accommodating. We arrived very late and after I initially could reach anyone on their phone number I initiated cancellation proceedings only to stop and try our luck there anyway. He met us there, was very apologetic about the fact that the room hadn’t been completely finished as he thought we were going to cancel. I in turn apologized and in general it was a refreshing pleasant exchange between two people who had got a bit muddled

There's nothing much to do in the surrounding area, but we were happy to stay in and explore the property. We went for a short drive to Darlington until the bitumen ran out, but it only took about 15 mins return. Beaudesert isn't worth visiting really, but that was fine by us.
