The inside sewerage smell throughout our stay was just a treat. The view was great. The house is a little run down and need of renovation. Some of the outdoor floorboards need replacing and wouldn’t be surprised if someone fell through eventually. Burn off from the next door neighbour was great, but not for those with asthma. The cleaning fee is excessive, considering the cleaners don’t really clean before you arrive. Need to consider putting in an on suite in main bedroom.

We got up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over Kalorama Park. It was magical, it was the start of a new year (1 January, 2021) and the weather was good. Sunrise was excellent.
We drove to Olinda which was good for walking up and down the main street of the village, then onto Sassafras, which is a great little town.

A perfect getaway from the city life. Great locations, parks and gardens to visit. Fun and interesting shops, taverns, pubs, cafes and restaurants to visit with delicious food. Good for long hikes and walks in the woods and at parks. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing place with clean air and just being close to nature. Able to see wild birds and other animals you don't get to see in the city. Many lovely bed and breakfast guesthouses to stay at with a reasonable price for customers. Go down to SkyHigh for a visit it’s beautiful takes 1.5 hours to have a good look without going on the bush walk, they have beautiful views at sunset and great food, went to the sanctuary took about an hour to walk thru, amazing sculptures and gardens with a awesome history story being told.
Olinda is a nice town friendly people and lots to look at. Good hot chocolate and coffee at the pie shop 🙂
The villa is comfortable, spacious and very thoughtfully equipped. Highlights were the balcony with a beautiful forest view, and visiting cockatoos and lorikeets; the pool table that entertained the whole family, and the bbq and fire pit area for cosy alfresco evenings. Kalorama park is a short walk away, for a daily forest dog walk. We visited a few local attractions but our favourite time was spent relaxing together at the villa.
We needed to leave early at 6.30am and their breakfast only starts at 7.30am. However, hotel staff was so kind to help us talked to the Chef to prepare and pack breakfast for us. They also allow us to park our car near the lobby for the night instead of at the carpark which is a distance away. We really appreciate their excellent service!
One of the rooms number 5 had a noisy heater that was vibrating the whole night. My partner was not able to sleep that night and it was very bad experience.
They even had some duct tape on the heater from past complaining I guess. So hotel staff was aware of that particular room has a faulty heater but they still gave us that room.
My accommodation was very comfortable in the center of a green hilly area. The staff were amazing! They are definitely that kind of Hotel were the staff bend over backwards to help you in any which way. I will definitely be coming back here
A good place to be to regain your energy. We arrived a bit too late to enjoy the facilities. However, the hotel contacted us for pre-check in and to prepare for after-hour arrival. The place is peaceful. Breakfast is everything we need.
Breakfast was nice and hotel is located in beautiful location. Garden is well maintained and is perfect for people looking for peace and getting close to nature.
