A small, well-kept village that caters well for tourists.
A small, well-kept village that caters well for tourists. It is on the Beech Forest rail trail, a well-maintained feature. We arrived just after the Golden Gumboot event when the gumboots were still displayed on the trees but were removed promptly. The only local facility we visited was the general store, that also functions as the local post office, and a cafe and gift shop. It is run by a very pleasant young lady with excellent local knowledge. She is also a good cook - our lunch was plentiful, delicious and nutritious. with off road parking and seating.

great cabin, comfy beds, clean and spacious plenty of room for a family. Very reasonably priced. Cabin not very modern and could do with updating but it was priced accordingly and it was clean. Have stayed in other cabins that are more modern but very over priced for a family. Suited our needs perfectly.LeanneAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0
The only shop was closed by the time we got there because...
The only shop was closed by the time we got there because the power had gone on and off all day due to a storm. Next time we will stock up before getting there just in case. However in was a very peaceful area and close to the attractions we wanted to do. Recommend it as a great place to stay.RonaldAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Gellibrand is a very small town so we didn´t use any public transport (car is a necessity), we also didn´t eat in any restaurant but there is defs a possibility to eat in the town or buy some groceries (just limited). Other shops and public services are located in near city called Colac (about 20 km away).JanaCzech Republic
