Exceptional location, very comfortable cottage, great views, Tina the housekeeper was very helpful too. The only disappointment was that the morning of our departure the weather was the most glorious of our stay making us even more sorry to leave! Thank you Essentially Tas for your hospitality

We wanted a relaxing 2 days in a quiet location. That's exactly what we got, it was great. If we had wanted to go and visit local attractions, we were close enough to do that with a short drive. The close proximity to the private beach and view over the bay was very peaceful.

This area and town are truly stunning. Beautiful views everywhere and the locals are so friendly. Whilst there make sure you visit the RSL - great food, views and very friendly people. Would visit again in a heartbeat. Its also a great spot to base yourself to visit other parts of the Huon Valley, such as Cygnet, Port Huon, Geeveston and the walks down south at Cockle Creek. Really special part of the world.

Nice little town to stay for a few days to visit the hot springs, Tahune Airwalk and wonder about by the beach. Great little pizza shop in town, as well as an IGA and a liquor store. Very relaxing place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights, it was the perfect length.

After a lovely scenic drive from Hobart, we arrived to comfortable accomodation in Dover. Nice little town, lovely beach and views over the water. Good IGA plus bottle shop, and a chemist. We had a fab day exploring further south to Cockle Creek and Southport. Then Hartz Mountain on our way back to Hobart.

On arrival Gary was very welcoming and happy to answer any questions about Dover and its surrounds. Situated on the main road into town but noise was not noticeable at night. Bed and Breakfast set up was prestine, with the room we booked being large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and very much appreciated. Gary goes that extra mile by providing a hearty cooked breakfast as well as offering a selection of continental items. Grounds were lovely and parking off road. Exceptional A+ business.

The location was superb being across the road from the beach and bay. We loved waking up to the sound of gentle waves and having such a beautiful view of Port Esperance Bay from the dining room...so relaxing. Castaway Cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and being pet friendly our little Sheltie was able to enjoy too. We will definitely be returning to this gorgeous cottage to explore more of what Dover and its beautiful surrounds has to offer. Thanks so much.

Incredible views of the bay from the balcony and lounge. We were surprised to find a couple of added extras on arrival. The jacuzzi was an added bonus even on a rainy winters day. Will be back when next in Dover.
