We had a lovely spacious room, with a small balcony, spacious bathroom and a decent sized table to sit at for meals. Crockery and cutlery were available in the room. Despite peak hour traffic during the day, at night it was quiet. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Traditional 1980s country motel, but the inside of rooms is pleasing raw brick, not beige-painted breeze blocks. Spacious room, comfortable beds, crisp linen, good range of toiletries. Smooth booking and check-in experience. Close to the road, so inevitable highway noise. Next to drive-through bottle shop that brings traffic. WiFi password was not volunteered and we were lazy to seek out, so we relied on at times patchy phone coverage. Comfortable distance to the Westvale Rd boat ramp on the upper reaches of Lake Somerset and the walks in the D'Aguilar National Park. Vicinity to Woodford offers wider meal choices than the pub next to the motel.

friendly staff and management, clean rooms with good facilities, able to get dinner (although dinner pricing was a bit expensive), convenient having a hotel as part of the motel area. A shop across the road had good food to purchase for breakfast. Nice quiet location.

The cabin is built a short distance away from the main...

The cabin is built a short distance away from the main residence. It seems to be on a smallholding or just a very large block of land on the edge of the town Woodford. The main verandah is on the opposite side of the building facing away from the other buildings on the property, giving it some privacy. The verandah looks out over some grass and bushland. We were not sure or we could walk into the bushland as there is a lot of fences around so not sure what is property or neighbours. We took a walk into the suburb which is mostly large developed blocks. The cabin itself is well equipped. The only private rooms are the bathroom and bedroom. There are no curtains or blinds in the lounge or kitchen. The lounge area seems to have on two sides bi-fold doors that can be opened to give the lounge a feeling that you are outside. We did not try this but it will be great to use. It was great to enjoy the large verandah. We had all our meals on the verandah and was normally joined by the horse, one of the dogs and some chickens. One of the hens left us a freshly laid egg on the verandah chair - what you call good service.
