The town is a must if you are into the history of the timber industry or love being in a rain forrest with a river on it's doorstep. The town takes you back in time and there are walk/hikes for everyone. The pub does great meals and the hosts are fun and freindly.

Corinna was everything we had heard it was.

Corinna was everything we had heard it was. The cottage we had was large and very well furnished. Parking was right outside our place. It was just a short walk to the restaurant where we enjoyed the evening meals. It was also a short stroll to the ferry (to get to Corinna from the South) and the boat for the Piemen River Cruise which we did on Boxing Day in amazing weather. The fact, which we were aware of, that there is no telephone, radio, tv, or wifi reception was hard to start with - but soon got used to it. Finished up playing some of the board games we found in our cottage. It was very hot (39c on one day according to the ranger- the hottest anyone could remember) and dry where when we were there (Dec 2022) but we knew it would have been a very different experience had it been the more usual weather - wet and cold. How the early discoverers and settlers managed is hard to imagine. Be aware though that bookings for Corinna have to be made a long time in advance and I can see why it is so popular for those who want to get away from it all and experience the wilderness.

Corinna is just the wilderness village at the heart of the Tarkine. It's a remote wilderness getaway. Busk walking, kayaking and the river cruises, plus board games in the rooms sums up activities available.. Its about nature, fresh air and escaping the hustle and bustle.. No phone reception, no shops and no TV. Breathe in nature and relax. If you plan to self cater- make sure bring your food along- no shops nearby. Unfortunately the restaurant was also closed during our stay in the off-season.

We loved Corinna Wilderness Village. Great to chill out, relax, enjoy the magnificent bush, the walks, dinner at the hotel, the rustic environment. It was good to just read all the books in the room - thanks for leaving them for guests to read instead of watching TV. Having no mobile reception, no wi-fi, no internet was a welcome change. The bed was so comfy too. The cabin was just perfect for a 2 day stay. Loved the Arcadia II cruise - perfect for a cold, rainy day!

Everything about Corrina Wilderness Village was just perfect. Everyone was so helpful, right form the point of booking. Lots of good advice. The cabin was comfortable, generously sized and well appointed. Sitting out on the back deck with a cup of tea or a meal and looking straight into giant tree ferns, with birds flitting through the trees and a pademelon grazing below... perfection. Dinner in the Tarkine Hotel was excellent. Bliss.

Corinna is an experience you should do at least once in your lifetime or if fortunate enough more times. It is in the wilderness but definitely not wild. The restaurant had a great choice of foods and wines, the staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay more than a memory. Do your selves a favour and get out there whilst you can and whilst it is still available to witness and enjoy.

Corinna is a magic location. The rainforest and river are just breath taking. The accommodation is dated and a bit slapped together without much consideration. There are many mosquitos... more inside the room than outside. It is a remote location and the feature is the nature. And the heating is so strong! Its not wood, its gas and wow! You wouldnt be cold in winter if you visited.

Corinna Wilderness Experience is a must see if you're coming to West Tasmania! Our cottage was set amongst the rainforest, it was so peaceful to hear and watch the animals surrounding it. Our room was spacious and had s comfy bed, loved the kayaking and walks in the area, and the food at the Tannin Hotel was incredible and the staff were all so friendly.

The peacefulness and remoteness of Corinna is what attracted us to come here . Our little hut was cosy and warm . Excellent facilities. Ate dinner at the restaurant one evening and the food was first class. The Pieman cruise on the Arcadia was excellent too . Staff very friendly . Could not fault this place.

Absolutely loved the remote location of the Corinna Village. So remote yet with every comfort (other than TV or wifi which was just perfect). Wildlife an your front door so lovely. Lovely staff and the meals at the restaurant were brilliant.

It’s a great location away from the touristy areas. Dinner was available at the hotel as well as a continental breakfast. The menu is small for dinner but was very good. Bring your own food etc as there isn’t much to buy here.
